House on fire watch out

  1. For anyone who has any ideas about catching a mouse then tossing it into a pile of burning leaves, think twice. A gentleman caught a mouse, took it outside and tossed it into a burning pile of leaves. The poor little mouse caught fire, ran out, up the steps, back into his house, and the house caught on fire. Don't know how much damage was done but it certainly was poetic justice.:roll

Even my SIL said it was poetic justice. And he sits outside and takes pot shots at the mice who frequent the bird feeding area. Our four cats are too lazy to chase the mice away. They just lie there and sleep. And open one eye then go right back to their snoozing. Poor little mouse.

I got a little more of the story. He was an 81 year old man, who made the mistake of tossing that live mouse into his burning bonfire. When the mouse got back into the house, he somehow managed to crawl into a space between the walls and set fire to that. The man suffered total loss of his home and all his personal belongings. I guess that is the last time he will do something as foolish as he did.
