Homeschooling

  1. I am looking for some interesting books/texts to teach history to my kids. I know Usborne is cited alot-has anyone read any of his books? There are so many I just don't know what to focus on! Thanks all!

How old are your kids? That makes a big difference. We homeschool and our kids' ages are: 13, 12, and 10 (all boys). Right now we are using a book that is on Indiana History. We also use a paperback textbook on American History that is geared for middle school age kids but I can't remember the title or publisher at the moment. Your best bet would be to log on to some homeschool websites and check out what other homeschoolers are using. Good luck.

I have several recommendations--I homeschooled both my children through high school. If you would like some helpful sites you can email me at:

You didn't mention the children's ages.

    Hope I can help,
    Dianne
