Ho - ho - ho! Happy Holidays Everyone!

  1. Thought I'd start a thread for us to post our favorite silly holiday songs on that will bring some laughter and cheer to everyone's heart right now, especially our Allnurses siblings who aren't feeling up to par healthwise right now.

There's a website called "Grandpa Tucker's Christmas Songs" that I found recently, and here is a song I thought would make ya folks laugh a good jolly laugh:

The title of the song is: Grandma Rules...got run over by a reindeer! :chuckle

My fave Christmas song is "Grandma got run over by a Reindeer" followed by "White Christmas" by Bing Crosby.

Everytime I hear the Temptations version of "Silent Night" I sob. I hate when it comes on when I'm in the car because I can't see.
Something about that song just moves me.

Deneen, I too love to hear the Temptations rendition of "Silent Night". Tears me up everytime, too.

Kelly, I tried posting the link to the Grandma got run over by a reindeer (on the same site as the first two I posted), but for whatever reason, it wouldn't work for me. It's the same tune as Grandma Rules though.

Leah, I don't think I've heard that Chevy song before. Is there a link to it anywhere on line where we can listen to it? If not, would you post the words to the song so I can read it?

    Nighty-night all!

I remember one Christmas back in about 1968 when my sister brought home a Christmas album full of different songs! I was sitting on the table with my mom and about five other family members listening to it. Then I spilt a big glass of milk! (shouldn't have been sitting on the table I guess?) It spilt right as this song was playing, everyone was making a big deal about it but... I still enjoyed the song...

Other than the traditional Christmas songs that I LOVE......and sing all the time......w/ my light up reindeer antlers on........(hey, no laughing, my mom bought them for me last week)......It doesn't take much to entertain us GRITS.........

I love that tear jerker song about the kid that wants to buy him mom some shoes for Christmas cause she's dying. I can't even remember the name, I just know it makes me cry. UGH.....

Other than that.......I love WHITE CHRISTMAS.......watch it every year.......sings all the songs........

and.......ok I know enough already...........but.......when I lived in Germany so far away from my family I would sing "I'll be home for Christmas" everynight during the holidays to my girls.

    Happy Holidays Ya'll!

My favorite is the German version of Silent Night...it always makes me tear up, because i miss germany very very much!!! Anyway, I also love the chipmunks christmas sone, but i'm not sure how it goes. Something like "All i want for Christmas is my two front teeth..."
