Hey Rusty !(I see you 're moderator on his board now, so..)

  1. HI Rusty !

Thought of you back in late January... made our annual trek out to Az. again. Always go out I-40, back I-10, sometimes I-40 (depending on the weather conditions)... but this time, we decided to take a few xtra days and head up to Santa Fe on the way back... all these years going out there, had never seen Santa Fe.

Boy, was I ever impressed !!! What a fabulous city ! Most unique. VERY beautiful !

    Note she's from England...

I love Santa Fe, Albequerque, and every inch of AZ. I can't remember the name, but it was like a Governor's square or something like that that had all these neat vendors. My Mom was a big turquoise fan, so we always had a ball going there.

I almost went to school in NM or AZ. Was accepted to schools in both, but chickened out. WHY??? It's 5 degrees today...

I'm glad you had a great trip! I would love to go back....

    OK.. sorry Karen !

Yes, love going out there each year myself.
Mom lives in Sun City West, (NW of Phoenix) and sis Pati lives in Tucson. Wouldn't you know my 21 yr. old son just decided to pack up and head west himself right before Thanxgiving ! So he's out there in Tucson as well. Already has a job, an apt., and an Aunt who brings him goodies (and tells me every little thing he's into !!! ) So of course it was great seeing him, too.

We stopped at Socorro, N.M. and overnighted there, also. What a fabulous, historyladen little town THAT is ! Quaint, peaceful, lovely...friendly. Hubby's considering a move out there down the road a few yrs.. if anyone can AFFORD to retire these days!

Here's Adam.. no snow for Christmas in Tucson, so Pati plopped a Santa hat on him to put him in the mood...

He DOES love it there, though.. I remember him calling from Albequerque on his way out.. said as soon as he crossed over into N.M., he felt "free"... a whole new person ! Said he parked the car and watched the sunset on a vast horizon... loved it !

My nephew lives in Glendale, and my brother was stationed at Luke AF Base. Ah, the good ol' days....so jealous!!!

WOW! Mom lives just up the road from Glendale.. has a doctor there she sees a lot. They have a dialysis clinic there I've wanted to check out.. and now they just built one outside the gate to her retirement community in SCW. Been to Luke may times. Yep, love our little trips out there each January. Nice change from the winter blahs...
