Do you live up there near Kewl, Cen? I don't understand how you're posting if you don't have power? Do you have one of those really OLD PCs with the gerbils that run around their little wheel to power it?

Nashville, which is NOT known for being in the snow belt, had almost exactly the same temperatures as you, Kewl. There's no way to get used to this kind of insanity in the weather!

i am basing it off the weather reports i have received dennie!!! actually, i have an electric generator. it's plugged into the necessities (i.e. tv, phone, and computer) the fire place is gas......don't need electric for that! :chuckle

anyways, i want my power back, so i can take a shower and go to the store......i can't get motivated without a hot shower.....and we have a well......the well pump takes more electricity than my generator can put out!

guess i'll be stinky until then...:roll...maybe the power will be back when i come home from the store! :d

I was teasing about the gerbil-powered PC! I'd seen that you have a generator. That's why I was wondering if you were near where Kewl is. These winter storms are really 'something.'

I used to live in West Lafayette, Indiana, which is just downwind from Chicago. It's horrid there, as well. Cold, BLOWY and VERY difficult to cope with that kind of winter.

The weather here has been strange to my mind ever since I've lived here. But this warm enough to swim one day and then plummeting from 68 the next morning to 16 at night is just more than my system can adjust to. At least in Lafayette, it got cold and stayed cold. And stayed cold......

    Love

actually i just came back from the store.....and turns out, a huge tree came down and took out the telephone pole and all the lines. it looks like everybody from the town out, to about 6 miles where i am is out of power and not coming back soon!
