Hey guys...guess what!

  1. Knew that would get ya.....I gave my FIRST shot today and my instructor said it was perfect! I am excited.....then I came home and took cable...stripped the ends..put on the ends( can't remember the name of them....what you use to hook to the TV/VCR) and ran my own cable. I was so proud.....I know little things, but I'm doing it on my own which is why it is so important to me!

Reminds me of my Father's reaction when I changed out the innerds of a toilet myself. Not to mention the year I told my parents that if SANTA calls, I wanted a set of jumper cables for Christmas that year.

Rock 'n roll! I'm with ya... every success I've ever had has been measured by all the small steps it took to get there.

BTW, Rusty, been meaning to pat you on the back for the non-smoking thing. I quit on Nov 11, 2001 after 18 years. Good job!

So who did you think of when you jabbed that needle in?

Great job Robin. It is terrific that you are doing stuff for yourself. The days of the helpless girly-girl are over, and I for one am glad. I think women that grew up on a farm are best at doing everything. My wife can drive anything with wheels on it, she can do carpentry, care for animals, just about anything.

It's funny though because in my last marriage I did things like that....well not electronics hook ups (he had to do those), but if we had a leak under the sink or the toilet clogged up...he couldn't or WOULDN'T fix it....I would. When I married Rob though I got spoiled because he believed he should do those things and I let him....I think I lost a piece of myself by doing so....I was so proud of myself I called him and I was like....Guess what I did ALL by myself! I have done that a couple times since he left and he always tells me....I knew you could do it, but you didn't. He always tells me he is proud of me also.....anyway away from rambling.....What else can I fix?? LOL
