heroine cat

  1. Had a new furnace installed....The evening after the workmen left, I couldn`t find one of my 2 furry kids...Oh, well, went to bed, got up several times during the night...still no Jerry....When I got up the next am, Lucy wanted out first thing( Strange, she didn`t want her can first)..Let her out, in a few minutes she was banging the door to get in, opened it, she ran down the steps...this went on several times...Finally, in exasperation, I followed her down to the patio...There, I heard a faint mew,mew...coming from behind the skirting( I live in a trailer)...Yup, those guys took off a piece of it to get to the plumbing stuff.and old man Jerry had gone to take a peek...and got stuck when the guys put the skirting back in place..Went and found screwdriver, and took panel off, out came cat...He came in house, ate breakfast, and slept all day...Lucy...she preaned..like "I`m the best" ....

I would tell the workmen about what occured. The next time this happens it might not have a happy ending. I would try not to sound as if I were placing blame on them because that would not help anything. Three cheers for Lucy, I think she really does know she did a good thing.

I might be wrong, but I doubt it...I don't think that it'll get to -18 in Arizona. I mean I know the desert area can get cold, but that cold????

I'm glad that Jerry was okay. I'm so anal with my three cats, that I have to make sure that I know where each of them are when I go to sleep. It's amazing how in tune cats are, isn't it, Cactuswren?

I doubt they would have given a rat's behind. Our champion Border Collie was hit by a work truck (driving in driveway WAY too fast) when we were adding on. Guy didn't even stop or tell me or anything. Flipped out, called hubby....he had to come home and scrape him off of the driveway.

So, I took $1000 off of the bill. Wrote a little note as to why, and never heard anything from them.....
