Help! ONLINE SHOPPING WARRIORS!!

  1. Allright, it's getting down to the wire. I need help! I've been to fatwallet, I've been to dotdeals, I CANNOT find any promotional codes for Amazon!! The one's that are out there are not for toys.

I called Toys R Us and asked if I could fax them a list, could they have all the toys at the counter for me so I could fly in, pay for them and leave. The lady laughed me off the phone. Okay, so it was an idea, allright? I can't take Emma with me because she still believes in Santa Claus.

So, I thought I'll go to Amazon, find a cool promotional code to cover the shipping costs and THERE IS NOTHING!!!! And I'm not spending $99 just to get free shipping!

    Help!!

Second thing, for the Ebay Queens and Kings:
I'm looking for a Hallmark Christmas ornament. About 3 years ago, they had a line of the Three Kings in their "African" Kings series. I have the first two Kings, never could find the 3rd King. I've never been to Ebay, if you can give me a little direction on how to go about trying to find this or send out a request for it, please let me know!

    Ugh! I HATE shopping!!

There are lots of booths at Flea markets and antique/collectible shows that sell Hallmark ornaments as a secondary market thing for collectors. i'll look through my old business cards and see if I can find the place i bought from. I was trying for all the Kwannza (sp) angels but missed 2. They were gorgeous.

The promotion at amazon is over....however if you do kbtoys.com... they still have the promo and you don't need a code!

Vegas, I've never bought anything from eBay, but searching them is pretty simple. Just go to their home page, and in the upper left-hand corner of the screen there is a "search" feature. Put in "Christmas Ornaments" and go from there.

Also, have you ever tried Dogpile.com? You can put in "Three Kings Christmas Ornament" and it will pull up a gazillion sites that match thematch the words in the search request. Some will be generic, some will likely be a match. Good luck!

Mkue - Oh heck yeah. The best promotional code (PC) I got for Amazon was $150.00 gift certificate for switching to MCI. That was one GREAT Christmas!!

You also used to be able to "stack" PC's, where you would have $10 off $50, $5 of $20, etc. to the point where you wouldn't have to pay ANY shipping and handling. But, the codes don't appear to be as plentiful this year.

Did you see that Amazon is offering free shipping for orders over $25? There's a link with the details of it right at the top of their homepage. I buy from them alot and got the "free shipping" notice in my email, too. Oh and TY for reminding me of Amazon.... I better use up that $5 gift certificate they sent me!

I spent all of Friday on-line shopping at Amazon. After I spent alot more than $100 to qualify for "free shipping" I found out that it didn't apply to certain items (e.g., video games, gameboys, PS2, etc.) And there was no promotional code available. I did "save" $1.23 by indicating they could take over 7 days to get the items to me. But at least I didn't have to go to ToysRUs or the Malls...and I could shop in my bathrobe so that made my day.

Ebay is easy to use...there's a search feature that will allow you to put in any word or phrase. If your search pulls up too many things (like you get a lot of CDs), then you can use the hyphen in front of CD (example: -CD) and then it take out any item that has "CD" in it. You can put in any number of words or take away any number of words.

If you find someone with your ornament, then check the feedback of the seller (a number in parentheses by the seller's name). If there are a lot of negative things said about the person, then buy from someone else.

You can even do a search on completed items to find out what it has been selling for so you can be sure you are getting a fair price.

    Joining ebay is easy, too.

Yep! I saw it but it's not for toys. I'm looking at KBToys website to see what they are offering.

Las vegas, I don't know which one you are looking for but.....

http://www.hookedonhallmark.com/orna...ries/afam.html scroll down, it's towards the bottom of the page.

    Good Luck, Shygirl

    P.S. If it's the third king, it's only $12.00! Can't beat that?
