Insects or animals eating your plants? If insects try dried blood from a garden center. Animals- try leaving some orange peels. I've also had luck with dish soap and water. Spray on the plants. Good luck, Berta

first you need find out what is eating your plants.
a neighbor gardener would know what's about in your area...
if you don't see anything during the day, maybe slugs?
    look underneath any containers
otherwise a close inspection might reveal bugs, worms or aphids
are leaves being eaten as well as flowers?

Are they eating them as in gone (animal) or eatting them as making holes (bugs/slugs).

If they are gone...do you have deer?
BTW I have found NOTHING that keeps rabbits out of my flowers...including fencing...they dug up my potted begonias last year...and stole the tubers.

My garden had aphids the other day,I used a bug spray called Diazinon.Kills anything, they don't sell it anymore in California, but maybe where you live they do?The morning after spraying you see dead bugs everywhere, doesn't hurt plants or animals either.

Sorry, I wish I could help but I have 2 black thumbs which is why I plant silk flowers outside. At least the critters don't eat them.

Do those fake owls help keep the rabbits away? Anybody ever use one of those? We really need to know if we are talking some sort of bug or some sort of larger animal to know what to advise.

it is definitely animals that are eating the plants because they are eating the buds off the plants before they bloom. someone suggested fox urine so i'm going to try that as well. thanks for all your suggestions! my son studing wild life and he going to ask some of the profs there as well. and again thanks! i'll try just about anything.
