    Micro,
this was one of those news items that hit like a ton of bricks. I'm still reeling from the news. All of these 4 & 5 year-olds getting kidnapped & worse. It makes me want to take my 5 year-old daughter & run off to live in the wilderness, away from the perverts & nutcases who infiltrate every aspect of life that they can. I'm so tired of hearing about perpetrators having 20-year histories of their evil behavior. Someone go ahead & cure them once & for all...that's right, a bullet through the brain, the only known cure for these predators.

Sorry for the tirade. I, too, will not let my daughter go outside by herself anymore.

I feel so sad for her mom.

    Not very joyful today,
    Joy

I will never forget my neighbor teasing me about not letting my daughter play in our backyard by herself. Yes, it's is block-walled in. Yes the gate is locked. But STILL I don't leave her out there by herself. If it's not me, it's my 138 lbs extremely POSSESSIVE Rottweiler who is trained to BITE that has protected my baby girl since the day she was born.
This is the same dog that would bare his teeth and growl at people other than myself who would approach her when she was an infant.
Call me silly all you want. But no, she is never out of my sight or the dog's.
