Headliners and Legends

  1. I just watched this series and the one today was on Susan Smith, the lady from Union, SC who killed her two little boys. I cannot believe it has been 10 years. It was announced at the end of the program she had been moved to another SC prison d/t c/o sexual misconduct with guard. Of course, she is sorry and is going to live the rest of her life so she can be with those boys in heaven. God is in charge of that but it still gives me chills to think of how those 2 babies died. I really have to pray on this one.

i would just as soon we all forgot she ever existed. She is no headliner nor legend to me. The best thing to me would be if she remained locked up and ignored the rest of her natural life.

She's a very sick woman. Should be in a forensic insane asylum instead of a regular prison.

I dont' know how sick she is...I think sometimes PURE EVIL just exists and she is that, personified.

Agree with all of the above. That was one crime in particular that really made me sick to my stomach........hard to believe it's been ten years. That's approximately 3,650 days that you have had and I have had and Susan Smith has had, that those poor little boys didn't get to have. I'm sure they would have liked to have had those.

Was she the sicko that rolled her car into a lake with the boys in their car seats?

I have another alternative suggestion for Susan Smith besides Heaven.

i feel that the father of the little boys was as much to blame as she was...he never took time with them and child support was much arrears when this happen..but when the tv cameras were on he acted like the bereaved father
these poor little boys had no parents and no life...a terrible way to die

i agree w/deb- that often it is not a mentall illness/insanity but pure evil.
that story reminds me of a woman (? a few yrs ago) who systematically drowned ea of her 5 children in the tub. and she wasn't separated/divorced, and had a clinical dx of depression. does anyone remember that story?

I live and breathe my kids...I am the extreme I guess or maybe not. I constantly worry about them..even at work, after my shift I try to get out as soon as I can because I miss them. If I watch an awful show on tv about tradgedy re: children I am up all night worrying about my kids! I guess maybe it will get better as they get older??? Or worse?? I don't know, they are 1 & 2 now and they are my life.

Helpless children who were killed by the person your suppossed to be able to trust the most. Your mom. I don't know what demons she battles but this is a situation I have a hard time trying to rationalize...I could never fathom purposely harming my children...it's unspeakable. Evil, you bet. She is pure evil.:angryfire

My ex-husband wasn't any help at all after our divorce and rarely paid child support until I got the law involved HOWEVER, had I drowned my kids he would have had no part or responsibility in it at all in my opinion.

The person who did the deed is responsible for that evil and that is the only person responsible.
