Have you taken down you Christmas tree?

  1. Mine is still up.

It was soaking wet when we put it up on the Saturday before Christmas...we still have the lights on too. And it is not just the tree, my house is still decorated for Christmas.

What can I say...the weekend of the 4th & 5th was our weekend to put Christmas away and other things came up (or rather popped out).

So is anybody else dragging out the season?

We don't take our stuff down until the weekend after New Years, which usually makes us the last family in the neighborhood to do so. And I thought WE were bad!!!

Mine is still up, but not on purpose either. Usually I take it down on or just after January 6th (Epiphany); but in converting from nights to weekend evenings and several other things, I haven't quite managed to undecorate the tree. The rest of the house is undecorated; it's just the tree that is still up. doesn't seem to bother anyone YET, so maybe I'll get to it next week.

Oh, well, it is really PURDY this year anyway (and also artificial, so I think that is why I don't feel too pressured).

Mon Dieu ! It's January 16th ! My family is like SmilingBlueEyes, once it's over, it's over. I don't care if we put it all up on Dec. 24, it's coming down by December 27th.... nothing looks more pathetic than Christmas decorations and trees AFTER the event. It is post-climatic.

Ours was down the 28th...major fire hazard happening there

The tree is still up at school though. The box has been laying there all week but no one has taken it down....it's time...

Yup, son knocked the whole thing over about a week ago to my horror since I hadn't planned on taking it down to the weekend...but with ornaments everywhere

Nancy, you could just leave it up and decorate it with hearts

Ours came down Jan. 1st. It's already been cut up and in the compost pile.
