I was actually for some reason feeling sorry for myself this morning and I was flipping through HBO and up this story about a woman and her 11 adopted children with special needs and terminal illnesses. I just can't stop balling.
Anyone else see this documentary? Heartbreaking.

I saw it! Cried my eyes out when the little one said she couldn't even eat her whole lunch because she was so sad about Joe. That woman is a saint! I have discussed with hubby about adopting special needs kids, but to care for so many at one time???!!! I think it was an excellent documentary. They seemed to capture what truely goes on for that family. I have to admit though, I might not be so supportive of the birth families. I was sorta mad they had a huge birthday party for him, but they can't take care of him themselves? Or Joe's birth mother- some people just shouldn't breed!

ITA! The pinata scene were all the "birth family" is taking pictures...I mean WTF do they say when the photos are developed?
I really lost it when she was giving him a bath and describing how it felt for him...
I akso felt this was an honest and riveting documentary... a true angel among us, Ms. Tom.
