Happy Sunday, May 27 . . .

  1. Happy Memorial Day eve!

MaryAnn-I hope you're enjoying your night off and got your teeth fixed. No corn-on-the-cob for you.

    I know. I'm going . . . . .I'm going! The fruit salad isn't going to magically make itself.

Sitting here with toothpicks propping up the eyelids. Little One had a hard time sleeping last night, had me up and down till 0100. Then the little monster had the nerve to bounce into my room at the ungodly hour of 0600, yelling "Time to get up Mommy!"

BBQ at the parents' tomorrow with the whole family minus one child, who has to work. I have to spend hours in the kitchen cutting up a watermelon.

    good morning all!
Yesterday was an amazing day. The weather was perfect for our golf game and I actually *played*. I learned how to play about 3 yrs ago but because I wasn't very good, I would skip holes and stuff, never counted my scores. But yesterday I played well and scored a 135. Now, to someone who's been playing for a while, that's not good, but for me, that's great! I had some wonderful drives and it just went well.

Dinner was fabulous. Shrimp with whiskey sauce... mmmmm.... and then I kept the theme by having Atlantic salmon with herbs and butter. mmmmmmmm ... topped off with a Spanish coffee...mmmmmmmm

    So yummy!
Today, I have to do some stuff and some running around, but I had such a great day yesterday.

Hi Siri. We took dd to her MD yesterday for her fibro/arthritis check-up. He had her on Methotrexate po hoping to stop some of her pain. He'd rather believe it's a form of arthritis that can be helped rather than fibro which is only symptom controlled. So he's trying. But the Methotrexate has only caused miserable nausia one full day a week post q week dose. Now they want her to try the injectable form so it will have less impact on her stomach. So far the Medrol course and the Methotrexate haven't helped at all. Now he also has her on Phenergan prn (she had been taking Dramamine as that was all we could get OTC), Zoloft qd, Trazadone qhs, Folic Acid qd (but might need to be tid if the nausia doesn't ease up) and Vicodin tid prn (taking 2-3/day). For a person who doesn't like taking meds, this is a lot. And she positively HATES needles. Bad enough she needs bloodwork q6wks. God help her if she ever gets the DM that runs in the family.
Well, that's her tale of woe. She's a wonderful daughter, lady and friend. I just pray all of this will help her one day.
Whew!!! Thanks for the clarification on the drug, Mar. I was wondering how in the world Tamoxifen worked on all of this.

I feel for her. Bless her heart. Gentle ((((HUGS)))) for your dd.
