you're such a wag! That made me giggle! All those relatives!lol
Crikey! That's practically immoral what they're doing at your job! I do hope things work out favourably. sorry about your BIL, that's not good at all. I pray he will pick up again and soon be much better and able to go home.
Hi ya Jnette
...... don't know about me being the Queen Mum, I don't drink gin!
:chuckle Bless her and may she RIP, I think the Queen Mum drank that stuff!
I was indeed spoilt today ... and ignored!
I'd told the kids NO fuss or $$$ spent etc. That it's more important to me to be shown consideration, love and respect etc every
day, not just on one day of the year and with any/all of the commercialism which often accompanies these special occasions. But, do they listen to me??!!!
Probably my own fault, because I've always made an occasion out of things for them!
What's that saying: "Children learn what they live" ... or something like that!
But really, I'm the kind who is just as happy with a cuppa and a biscuit (cookie for you mob up/over!)
We received news tonight of the death of an old friend. One of our ex-military mates. He'd been battling cancer. While it's sad and we'll miss him ....there's comfort knowing he's now liberated from human limitation. No more suffering. Oddly enough, his funeral is being held the same day as my Aunts - tuesday.
We saw on the TV news tonight the dreadful bushfires in Santa Monica. America has the same wild and extremes of weather as Australia. The recovery from the fires here is slowly taking place. It'll be years of rebuilding though.
I hear a cuppa calling my name!
