My parents BOTH wanted girls but all they got was my brother and I
I hope your pregnancy proceeds as you wish. Saubhagyavati Bhavaha!
Where I come from, it is tradition to wish a married woman "Saubhagyavati Bhavaha
" (Sanskrit for "May you beget a hundred children"). Kinda seems "outdated" in this day and age but tradition is tradition
! Now if only we can have more Sabres fans too
! I had a shift like that two days in a row. 8 hour shifts that dragged on for 14 hours a piece. My feet had fun those days.... NOT!
Hope you catch up on some rest .... I can't wait for the overtime pay to come through
! How is dh doing? He must be doing well - he has a splendid nurse in attendence
I wish you'd start more GM threads!
Ok folks, here's your song for the day
! (Alternate - this is a very nice version too
! It's actually pretty cool)
I just read a very touching, inspiring, heart warming email from Father. Some of you might know (or not) but my Father and I have had a lot of 'issues' as I was growing up. We still have many ... but despite our differences, it seems like we might finally be connecting on some level.
For all his faults though - he is a very honest, very principled and a very supportive man. And for all our differences, I'd be lying if I said that he didn't have a hand in making me who I am today. I know that today he is very proud of who I am and what I do - and this just makes the struggle I had to endure to get where I am all that more worhtwhile and sweeter. And it'll lighten my load for the struggle ahead - for it is not done yet.
Not by a long stretch!
I guess I'm just feeling this way not just because of that email I got from Father - but because it's partially a vindication of a struggle I've largely been fighting on my own for almost 7 years now.
Yep - it feels great!
Sooooo, I'm gonna head back to finish watching my movie "Empire of the Sun".
Catch y'all later
