    Hi sirI!

Finally feel normal, so I'm going to head off to my dad's later today. Might put in the air conditioners too, it's going to hit 90 in a few days.

Don't have much else to do, except for some school loan-related paperwork and some studying for the NCLEX. Also might start looking for the new apartment.

I might delay the trip to Wisconsin until after the NCLEX, or better yet until after my part-time job is over (but before my new job starts). That way scheduling won't be a problem.

Happy Father's Day from California where we have been inundated with Spring storms - thunder, lightening, hail, rain.

Today the sun is coming out - good thing too because we have a Father's Day Picnic after church.

My dad is still alive but he and my mom divorced when I was about 11 and moved across the country to raise another woman's 3 daughters and they had a son. He and I are about as close as uncle and niece.

During his heart attack and bypass surgery while he was under anesthesia he apologized and told me he loved me. So, that was great - but you cannot go back and repair completely a relationship. I'll never have a "Daddy" but I do have a "Father". So, that is good. But just a warning to men who are contemplating divorce . .. .you also divorce your kids.

Changing the subject . . .. the darn mosquitoes are attacking me. I left the office door open to smell the fresh air and we don't have a screen on it and so . .. . .

    Thank you Sabby. :icon_hug:

My dad, too, was taken entirely too young, at 62. He was our "rock".. the finest, wisest, most fair man I ever knew.

Mutti is more awake today.. has been reading some of her children's books, but it saps her strength even after a page or two. She fell asleep half way through her oatmeal as she made weak attempts to feed herself, so I fed her the rest.

Been thinking......... I really don't know that Hospice would provide any greater or better services than those she currently enjoys. Basically we're doing the same thing. She's not needing any pain relief, so I don't know that she would benefit any greater from Hospice than her current Home Health services. What say you?

Anyway.. you have a marvelous day, and let's keep our wonderful and special dads in our thoughts and hearts today. :heartbeat

    Hi there, Siri !
    So quiet around here today...

Lovely day here.. intermittent sun and clouds, plenty warm and a great breeze/wind to cool you down just a bit when the sun gets a bit toooooooooooo hot.

Might break out the watermelon here in a bit.

Mutti statyed awake most of this morning, but fell asleep after three bites of her lunch sandwich, as she did during breakfast. I'm wondering if it's jsut too exhausting to actually feed herself or chew her food?

She does better if I feed her, or give her soft foods she doesn't have to chew much like mashed potatoes, puddings, yogurt, and the like.

She's out like a light again now.

Calling the doc tomorrow for him to call in an order to the medical supply company to have a hoyer lift delivered here ASAP. Will also grab a quick urine specimen from her foley before I go in to work in the morning..she's completed her abx. on Thursday, so I'm curious to see if a UTI is still an issue or not.

Will also pay a visit tomorrow to the funeral home. *sighhhhhhhhhhhhhh*
That was hard to spit out.

Need to find out exactly what our state laws are regarding pronouncing, etc. whenever the time does come. Don't want her going to the hospital via ambulance first.. no need for that if I can pre-arrange to have the funeral home ppl come and pick her up and do the pronouncing. So I'll see what my options are.

Pati's still "on-call", so I'm keeping her updated daily. We're hoping they can still wait 'til their planned flight the middle of July, but Pati may decide to fly out earlier and let Roo follow later on their planned flight date. All still up in the air.. one day at a time......

Well.. heading back out into the sunshine. Don't want to miss any of it.. we've had nothing but rain this year. :stone

Happy Father Day for all fathers! I need to call mine. When I say "my father" all memories come back... my first pair of cowboy boots and my pants, my first "love crying" lol and the first man advice "men are jerks, inclusive me" lool, "you are my boy and you need to behave like my boy, don't cry like a *****"...my dear dear dad.. always on my side, always protectve, always proud of me... and.... my first slaping...."he don't deserve you, is a looser, he will make you so unhappy" and he was right, my first cigarette and my first night out...for fun..
" took some money, be a smart gurl, don't lose your heart for nothing, love is love, sex is sex". My dad always true always right! When I am down and is happen, I think at him... what he will do "like a man" in my situation...fathers need to be a model... we grow up with mother and father models in our mind, balance with both will give our future balance.

Love your fathers...one day you will be somehow like them or hate them..... because they are our models...

Now about Zuzi's heart, lol. Last night at Niagra Fall, Melissa Etheridge sang one the most beuatifull song ever heard... I don't have the video yet, but is a love song a very sad love song from a great movie "The rose" . Melissa sang it... I am crazy to hear it... in her style. In life that I lived and live...... little thinks value too much and other big thinks don't count at all... lol, is life... be good and Love.

I will rent again the Rose movie this night, is a good one if you dind't seen it yet!

    Here the trail:

HAve a nice Weekend and stay on the bright side!

ahhh, Zuzi....... had to go watch her sing "TheRose"

I would have to say that is my alltime favorite song EVER.

Pay respects to your dear father, and keep him close to your heart. I know you do, and rightly so.
