Happy B-Day to.........

  1. ME!!:spin:

You know, from the ages of 25 to about 45, I wasn't crazy about this birthday business. (Well, the presents were nice, but I could've done without the birthday part. ) Now I'm just grateful to have lived this long, after several decades of treating my body like a badly-maintained car---if there's a bad habit I haven't indulged in, they have yet to invent it!---and I wouldn't go back to being 25 for all the money in the world..........or all the plastic surgery those $$ would buy.

And, all joking aside, I am not 39 and holding.........I'm 48 and moving on!!!

    Happy Birthday, Marla!

I'm going out to lunch today to celebrate my friend's birthday (last week) and mine (Sunday). I'd drink a toast to you as well, if my IBS would allow it! (I know, TMI.)

Like you, I'm enjoying birthdays again, faults and all.

    Thanks again!

This has been one of the better birthdays I've had during my 40s.:hatparty: Other than an ugly situation that's developing at work (which is a subject for a whole 'nother thread), I had an awesome day---my residents sang to me, my co-workers "decorated" me with Mardi Gras beads and gave me a cake and gifts, and my family spoiled me rotten with a great meal and a gift card to Borders. All in all, a very satisfying day.
