Hair Restoration

  1. Hey folks!
I haven't been here in a while, but I need some advice. My hair has thinned over the years and I've noticed that it is more thin on the top behind my hairline. I am seriously considering hair restoration. I would like to know if there are any risks to the procedure? If anyone has had one feel free to send me a private message. I am considering going to Medical Hair Restoration or Bosley Medical for a consultation. Any information will be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Have you tried less expensive things, like that NIOXIN shampoo / conditioner that is sold in the salons? I used it when on interferon and it helped me with the loss and thinning.

    KTWLPN,
Hey, I'm a woman in my 30's. It's different for women.

    VSUMMER1,
Thanks for the advice, but I've tried the shampoos.

Oh Lordy,Texas-so sorry for my faux paus...I feel like a real ijit now...I agree that it is not the same thing for a woman-I have known of a few woman with alopecia over the yrs and the treatments they tried did not help much....I have a friend that gets hair pcs and weaves done regularly-with a barette or 2 and some creative gelling she looks as if she has a full head of hair.It took her awhile to find a good salon where she can get high quality hair pcs and they are pricey but she believes it is well worth it....

geez......my daughter recently had her hair shaved off. I first thought, "ohmygodkristindon'tdothistoyourpooroldmum", but when I saw her in person it looked really cool!

    Just a thought.

    Peace,
