GWBush slang

  1. I love it!!!

"we will smoke them out of their holes, we will get them running,"

He said this today talking about Bin Laden.

Think it has something to do with his Texas huntin' days

I couldn't believe it Tuesday when he said we'd get the "folks" responsible for the attack. Made them sound like Ma and Pa with a banjo. Must be a Texan thing too.

I actually think it's kinda cute that he says "folks."

But then again, I've always loved George W.

There is a noticeable difference in the speech of "city" Texans and "country" Texans. I grew up in a tiny town in West Texas and I talk like that and so do most people I know from back home. Of course, here in Dallas, everyone makes fun of the way I talk.

    Y'all,
Only lived in Dallas for a few years, but I still find the phrase "y'all"
in my vocabulary. I have to force myself not to use it here in the east.
Never got very fond of "fix'n to" though. It just doesn't seem to flow.

As a matter of fact, the preferred method of eliminating subterranian rodents(a.k.a.varmints) on a ranch would be to use smoke. I think water is too valuble a commodity there.

No matter what we do It'll be "tougher than putt'n socks on a rooster"........lol, love that phrase!
