Guess what?? I LOVE my job!!

  1. This job I have now, and have had for about 2 months has been the best nusing job ever. I look after a 2 and a half year old, with a fundal plication anda Gtube. He was a drug baby, and was not given a good prognosis at all. But under his adoptive mom's care he is thiving. He can't talk much yet, but he still manages to communicate his wants and needs. His mom will get him into a signing class soon. I've only been working there 2 days a week, but just got a third day added and I'm thrilled about it. On Friday we all went to the park. The older kids went to some classes, while mom and I looked after Kyle and the younger kids. This woman has adopted 9 KIDS!! All different races and ages, and yet they all get along like a family. This is so much better for me than being tied down to a hospital where supervisors are breathing down my neck, not appreciating anything I do. Worrying about every move I make. I just guess that home health is the place for me, and wanted to share how good it makes me feel.

Loving your job means a lot, and not everybody can say that! So, you are lucky! Congrats to you and to the baby!

How lucky that family and little boy is to have a nurse that truly has a passion for helping others, and is not just there for a paycheck!

So glad you love what you do, and hope you continue to have the opportunity to make a difference in this family's life!

It's VERY cool to be able to have fun at work, and when you genuinely bond with your client. Now, I just have to get these dang bills paid off!!
