I used to date a guy who played in the Royal Military College pipe band. He told me they actually inspected to see if you were wearing the kilt in the traditional manner. The officer doing the inspection had a small mirror on a handle, which would be discreetly used to take a peek.

LOL! I was also told by a friend who had to wear a kilt in marching band that they were instructed to fall on their knees, then to the ground if they were going to pass out from the heat. Otherwise the spectators would get a different kind of show

Two lady tourists were visiting Scotland, and finally one of them got up the courage to ask the question, of a bagpiper who had been entertaining them at a local inn: "Tell me, sir," she said, "what is worn underneath a Scotsman's kilt?"

The piper leaned forward, and gave her a big wink, as he whispered his answer: "It's not so much worn lassie, as it is well used!"

    Gotta love those Scottish men!!

Anyone read Diana Gabladon's "Outlander" series! THE BEST BOOKS IN THE WORLD! I mean it, anyone who enjoys reading will love these books. It's about a nurse who worked as an army nurse in WW2 who steps thru a circle of standing stone and winds up in Scotland in the 1700's. It's wonderful historical fiction!
