This came yesterday to pass on to you all. I'm sorry not to have known pappy/JonRN, as he was clearly loved on this board. It does sound like he fought a good battle and had a good passing. Our loss, for sure.

We received an email on Monday night at Heathers board from Jon's wife Grace to tell us he became ill Saturday night( last Sat.) and she took him to the hospital on Sunday where an EKG showed he had suffered a massive heart attack. His condition worsened Sunday night, but she stressed that he was kept comfortable and died around noon on Monday. He had just celebrated his cancer being in remission for a year.....he always said he would die with his cancer...not from his cancer so he got that one right. He is missed thats for sure.thank you for sharing the news.

His grit and determination to fight against the odds will be remembered along with his passion for nursing. Sending his wife and family a {{{{HUG}}}}. We are all richer for having met him.
