Good to hear from you, Kate, and glad dh got home safely. Wow, and brought you a t-shirt!! I love to sleep in a huge t-shirt!!
And I'm not about to ask how, exactly, you are conducting the search for your lost crown, lol! Suffice it to say, at this point you are the Queen of SOMETHING, even without your crown!
Hang in there w/orientation. I ALWAYS get so sleepy!! So hard to SIT, I want to be up doing something, anything!!
We baked peanut butter cookies tonite. 13-yo helped read the recipe:
me: so what do we do next?
him(strolling around the kitchen, never in one spot for long): I dunno.
me: what does the recipe say?
him (making his way over to stare at the paper): mmmmmm, put the butter in.
me: OK, don't unwrap it yet, the recipe calls for it to be softened. Put it in the microwave for 10 sec., then unwrap it into the bowl.
him: OK. And so it went . . .
Oldest helped transfer the cookies from the baking sheets to the cooling racks. They both helped eat them. No one answered my call to help clean up, though. . . . youngest finally came in. "Mom, we have to start on these earlier next time, I want to watch my TV program (Early Edition)." me: "Yes, cookies take a little time, so you have to think about what else you want to accomplish in the evening and decide if you have time to do them." Ah, life's little lessons . . .
I better hit the sack. See y'all in the mornin'.
Take care, Kate, check in again soon. -- D
