Good Wednesday Morning everyone! Well, it was until I came here and read some posts:angryfire ...So, now I'm here starting this thread to cool my jets.
I hope everyone wakes to a fine, happy morning and I also hope that no one was in the towns that the tornadoes hit in last night. I have been up since 4 am with my little guy, but did go to bed fairly early (9:30 pm) with a headache. I've got some dusting to do today and I really am hoping to get the kids outside for a little while before the storms get here (same ones from the midwest, it looks like). I don't like this time of year only because of the storms...I'm such a scardy cat.
I'm also on a search today to find smiley's darnnit....you guys aren't going to have all the fun!

I did sit on a porch and watch a storm once and that's why I don't like them. LIghting hit less than 100 feet away from me and blew the bark off a tree and forced me backwards. It was sooo hot! I have also been in the middle of a hurricane in a motorhome and watched tornadoes off to the side of us. I'm just a wuss and proud to be one when it comes to storms! Where in the country do you live Jnette?
Ooooh. I'm sorry. I'm sure that was a frightful experience. I might be a tad jumpy after that myself. :uhoh21: I'm thankful I've never been in the middle of wild weather ...of any kind. Other than the usual summer thunderstorms.
Hey.. I've BEEN up ! Just picking up the house a little before I settle in for the day...I know once I sit down here, it's awful hard to pull myself away for awhile. But you wouldn't know anything about that, right?
I live on the Va./N.C. line, up in the hills. It's really a residential area on the outside of our town of 7000. Not like I don't have neighbors or anything. But it's beautiful... lots of trees and fields and cows and critters.
While the kids were growing up, we lived waaaaaaaaay up on top of a ridge, could see for miles.. had an old two story farmhouse we refinished, 36 acres, and all the usual farm animals just for "atmosphere"... heh. Loved it. But it took 40 minutes to get off the mtn. just to get to a store of any size, or work, etc. Exhubby still has the farm up there, and I live closer to town now.
OK.. I'd better get that test finished.. and accomplish a few other things around here... but I'll be BACK !
