Good Tuesday Morning 4/27/04

  1. I love this little give me a kiss guy! LOL! Good morning everyone! I didn't get much sleep. By the time I got into bed it was almost 1 am and Bryce had me up two or three times. Then, Trey had me up for good at 7 am (later than usual anyways). Poor baby Brycie has a horrible rash on his hiney and for some reason, every bowel movement is diarrhea. I called the dr yesterday and we are revising his diet to just bananas, applesauce and cereal and formula until we get him stopped up. She also told me to put neosporin on his butt to clear up the bleeding spots. The neosporin seems to be working great so far, even though my MIL swore that it would only hurt his skin. *sigh* I can't do a dang thing right in her eyes....NOTHING! :angryfire

Let's see.....what on the agenda today? Laundry as usual, and I think I'll clean a room...just don't know which one I find I do a better job if I don't try to do too many at once, so I ususally designate one per day and then that room gets done very well instead of a half-baked job!

Piper did nothing with the potty training yesterday unfortunately. She is still stuck on not having a binky so we'll wait a few days to try seriously with her again!

I hope everyone has a fabulous day! I'll be here on and off as usual, though I really can't be on much during business hours in case my Dr. calls about my test results.

    Hugs to my family here!

NEW YORK (AP) - Get ready for five channels of Prince. MTV, MTV2, BET, VH1 and VH1 Classic will simultaneously broadcast a 30-minute Prince concert special on Wednesday at 9 p.m. EDT, network executives told The Associated Press.

The concert, recorded live last week before an audience at New York's Webster Hall, includes performances of material from Prince's new album, "Musicology," plus some of his classics. The telecast also includes interviews, with certain segments reserved for the individual stations.

"The networks have never done this before," said Will Botwin, president of Prince's record label, Columbia.

"We wanted to do something unprecedented," said Judy McGrath, MTV Networks group president.

McGrath, who was at the taping, said the show was "like a party" with a few hundred audience members at the small club. Prince wanted an intimate feel to the show, she said.

Although Prince has been out of the spotlight for a few years, Botwin said he wasn't concerned that the teen audience won't want to watch him. Kids have learned about Prince through their brothers and sisters, he said.

"There's another generation getting turned on to Prince," Botwin said.

    Good MORNING !!!

I've been waiting for you to pop in here with this morning's greeting ! :chuckle Thought that little pic up there was rather appropriate for our morning "kaffeeklatsch".

So......... as I predicted, a GORGEOUS day out there today ! Bright blue skies and not a cloud to be seen anywhere ! The birds are chirping merrily away and the morning sun is tugging at my sleeve to come out and partake in the newness of the day.

But I have "inside" chores to take care of first... vacum, dust... get a few more bills out in the mail, etc.

LOLA... ( I love it !!!) .... I do the same thing... tackle one room at a time. Works real good that way. I can spend all the time I want on that one room and then feel good about really having accomplished something when it's done. Then another day or another week, and I move on to another room, and do IT well. That way you don't get frustrated or overwhelmed.

Well, I better get moving here... only so many hours in the day, and I want to enjoy every BIT of it !

Good morning you three! I have about another hour or so of computer time before I must get off so I am going to enjoy it and try to catch up. It looks to be a gorgeous sunny day here too, but it is cold. Only 40 degrees right now. If it would heat up about 30 more, I'd take the kids out back to rake the yard. *sigh* I can dream, can't I?

Since I first posted I found a lot of crummy things that need to be done today. Ah well..such is the life of a SAHM. I cannot wait until Fall for school!!!! (remind me of that when I am complaining about it then, ok?) I did get Trey's new chore chart done yesterday. It covers us until June 2nd...we'll see how it goes. The first week went okay. I'm sure he'll get bored with it soon!

Jnette...I still wish I was there with you! (though you aren't THAT far! LOL!)

    Good morning sleepy head!

Prince last night was awesome. I really am glad I went. Had a great time. Here is the review: http://www.sptimes.com/2004/04/27/Ar..._of_soul.shtml

Today is a do nothing day as I got most of my housework done yesterday. I'm meeting spouse downtown for lunch. There's a nice organic foods restaurant that I like that he wants to try, that I've already been to several times. But I'm in the mood for something more junkier and there are many good restaurants downtown.

Going to a pizza birthday party tonight. So I can throw the South Beach diet out the window. Oh well, there's always tomorrow.

Morning Tweety! Glad you had a good time! I sooo hope I get to go see him sometime, but what you paid for your ticket was a little steep for me anytime soon!

    Have a good one!

Sad thing the price of this type of entertainment. The broadway show tours are just as bad for the better seats. If you want to see the stage at the performing arts center for a show it's going to cost $75.00 and up.

We just got a new amphitheater and I think those seats are going to be cheaper, but they aren't going to the Prince, Cher, or the big shows. But they promise to get some good names. But I have to slow down. Just spent another $100.00 to see Madonna.

I can't wait until I am out of school and we can actually afford to do stuff like that! Madonna would be another great show.

I am just trying to save to go see Toby Keith this summer if he comes our way. And that will only run about $30/each.
