Good to know vandalism isn't a crime anymore...

  1. Went to my DON about a CNA that has been vandalising fellow employees cars at night. Baby oil and toilet paper, writing on windshields etc. She couldn't seem to understand why I thought this was such a problem since it hadn't happened to MY car. The people who she did do it to are to chicken sh*t to say anything because they don't want to get anyone in trouble!?!?!? COME ON PEOPLE!! THis is called vandalism of personal property!!
The sad truth is we are so short staffed that they won't fire her, that is all that it comes down to. How sad is that? I work for such a "high class" facility and it blows my mind that they would put up with this type of behavior!! I told my DON then that she better pray nothing gets done to my car because there will be police officers called to the spot and I will press charges!! And yes, we do have security on campus (apparantly they were asleep while all this was going on??)
Thanks.....just my small vent for the day!!

I would call the cops and press charges.

Wow that is awful that someone would be so immature to do such a thing!! And it's sad that they're not pressing charges and letting her know that this isn't ok and acceptable!

What a sad, sad person to have to do such a thing.

I agree with all the above!

I would also let the person in charge of security know what is going on under his employee's watch. Your DON sounds useless.

Document what happened between you and the DON about this CNA. I get the feeling that when the cops are called about this loon, the DON will develop sudden amnesia about the conversation you have with her.

I was scanning your post and I thought you said your DON AND CNA were vandalizing your car. I was thinking, "What the #$%&... What kind of place is she working for?"

I would call the cops, too. So childish.

I totally agree that the police should be involved.

What exactly is wrong with your DON???
