Long day today, so going to make it an early night before back for another 12 in the am.
Donny, you are definitely right about the beautiful weather here this week. Just love looking out the window whenever I get a chance. Everything is quite green but you can still see snow on the top of some of the mountains.
Dianah, when we drove up here a few weeks ago, the Grapevine was closed and we had to go the long way around, 14 and 58. It will make the trip so much easier and faster just to be able to take I-5 and then I-10. And save a few hours off of the trip in each direction.
Have a great day everyone..............
p.s. how about scrambled eggs with smoked salmon for breakfast? and a really good coffee?

Marla, love your avatar!!
Suzanne - yes, the Grapevine was closed for a day and a half when it snowed -- what, three weeks ago?? Hope it's clear for ya! I personally don't like spending ANY more time on LA area freeways than is absolutely necessary!
My PDA should arrive tomorrow, returning from the Sony repair place in San Diego. Hope it's all fixed, so I can get down to using it!
The cats are all lazing around, looking VERY comfy and cozy, while the wind blusters outside.
I got off work too late to go to jujitsu, and dh is under the weather so he didn't go, thus the kids didn't go. So I brought dinner home and then vegged out w/ book and TV. Speaking of which, anyone watching American Idol? That's what I watched tonite. They're done auditioning in the six (?) cities, and next week all 193 contestants will strut their stuff in Hollywood. They all come with such high hopes, having been "chosen" thus far . . . then have to endure this next grueling phase, with the requisite winnowing out, narrowing down to the final few. I always have to wonder, is this TRULY representative of how the music industry is? (where's Ted when we need his wisdom in this area -- or anyone else w/experience??) Just curious.
Thursday is here, FRIDAY IS AROUND THE CORNER!!! Then the weekend!!! Sat. we're driving in to Oceanside to see mil, and bro-in-law, out visiting and here for a job interview
as well. Hope if it's the right thing, he'll get the job. It'll be good to see him, and mil as well.
Better get ready for bed. 'Nite! -- D

Good morning everyone.
If MJ doesn't want her salmon....can I have it? MJ, hope you feel better.
And what is it with all these folks intoxicated on the road, like they own the da*n thing. Just saw in the paper regarding a Supreme Court Justice (Resnick) pulled off the road a couple times for weaving on the freeway and smelling like the brew...of course, denying she touched the stuff. Yes, what is the world coming to? Not much happening, which I sorta like. Work was busy this eve, but what med-surg floor isn't? All in all, it was a good day. Now, I'm planning to curl up in my bed, pull out a good book, turn the fan on in my direction and drift off to sleep...sometimes, this is the best part of my day. Yes, I do sleep with the fan on. Love the air. Currently reading a Clive Cussler book, entitled Lost City. Its pretty good. Off today...Thursday. Will see my girls. Hope my cyber fam has a great day. Don't work too hard...till the next time. Oh, I broke out some buttermilk biscuits for everyone to pass around the cyber table. The jam is to your left ...eh, to my right...apricot. Fresh fruit salad sitting in the center of the table with some nice cool whip to top it off if you like. Here's some fresh strawberries if you want that instead. Strawberries with a light coating of sprinkled sugar on top is my favorite. Enjoy.
