Oh man, you guys. I just spent 20 minutes typing up a reply to all of yesterday's posts and I lost it thanks to this site! UGH!!!! What the heck??????????????

man! I'll try to redo it but I'm kinda out of ooomph now. I thought of a couple other ways we save money...yard sales to pay for birthdays and I use coupons all the time. Then, I talked about bankruptcy crap...........blah, blah, blah.

Oh forget it....just know I love ya'll and am thinking of you and wish you the best in everything and thanks about the kids pictures yesterday. There, that's the jist of it! UGH!

    Morning Kimmers !

Yep... late rising this a.m. Unusual for me. Was a BUSY week thus far, and it took it out of me.

BUT.......... I'm ready to hop in the shower, shave my legs, throw on some shorts, and take off to go play some golf with dh this morning ! It's going to be lovely out there today, and I want to enjoy.

Saving money......??? The best way I know how is to STAY AWAY from WMart !!! :chuckle Or any other stores, for that matter ! Works every time !

You all have a good one ! I'll check in when I get back.

    You any good?
    Does that answer your question?

But I just love the "environment"... the beautiful, peaceful outdoors. And I just LOVE whacking the heck out of those balls ! Good for stress relief.

I've always wanted to learn to golf. It seems like it might be something I would enjoy. Maybe I'll bring it up to dh so when we move (and have the money) maybe we can take it up! Have fun!!!!

Hand me down and yard sale clothes. Aside from under wear, socks, and the occasional specific pieces of clothing (black turtleneck for Halloween costume, etc) I haven't purchased clothing for more than 25 cents in over a year.

I've arranged it with several other mom's and I'm this kinda distrubution hub. Every body gives me their stuff and I sord and redistribute it all. If there are things that we can't find a use for I am responsible for taking it to the local woman's shelter.

Just getting home from work here, going to go sleep for awhile before the kids get home. Tonight is my last night on night shift. I'm going to work in the OR at a smaller hospital much to many peoples' dismay. It's a steady mon-fri gig, I'm sick of working weekends, I've been doing it since my daughter was born 7 years ago. It would be nice to have a normal life and to get a good night's sleep. And holidays off.

My son graduates 8th grade tonight. Hard to believe he's going into high school.

eltrip...I'm a yard sale junkie myself. I have enough clothes for Trey and Piper for at least a year right now!

Melissa...congrats to your son! and good luck with the new job.

Good morning on your side of the world. Had a very busy but good day with my students today. I am not going to be around as much, too many other projects have come up that need my attention and work. And that is more important to me right now.

If you really need to contact me you can do it via instant messenger or via my e-mail.

    Have a great day.................

Good Morning! I'm at work early again, brought my kid in for summer school. We have immunization clinic today. It will be a long day because we stay open til 6:00 pm. I'm betting we won't be busy because people won't think about it with school being out! Then August will be unreal with people who suddenly realize that their kids need their shots before school!!

Worked on cookies with the youngest, we need more practice!!! Told the oldest to work on her bread after school today. She is making a honey wheat bread. It is good and she enjoys kneading the dough. I will be glad when these 4-H projects are done and the fair is over!

I try to save money by going to Sam's Club every few months and stocking up on the paper products, laundry stuff, and cleaning products. It's better if I go alone or my dh will add more to the cart than needed. I also try to use coupons more. We also try not to eat out as often as we used to. I want to start remodeling our house and we need to start slowing down on the spending! What kills me is the grocery bill!!! For a family of five, I'm lucky if I can get out of there for under $100.00 per week! I don't even buy much meat, because we have our own beef butchered! We bought a hog off of a neighbor and had it butchered too. I also try to save enough money for Christmas, but that is getting harder to do!

Hope everyone has a great day!

    Good morning, all!
I'm at my desk...Melissa, I SO know what you mean! I've had a desk job for the past 4 years b/c my DD needed me at home at night. She's also 7 & is right here with me for the next few minutes. Then I'll take her to her day camp for the day.

How do I save money? I eat leftovers for lunch...buy bunkbeds & other furniture at yard sales when feasible...and just avoid spending money overall! My friends are often impressed with my bargain-finding abilities, or at least that's what they tell me! I have long lived by the credo, "Use it up, wear it out. Make it do or do without." I'm trying to teach my daughter this one...which can be quite a challenge!

Better get going. Back in a little while!

DAAAAAAAAAAAAAAANg kim cut some of us some slack. It's only 5:55 a.m. here. rofl.

I have a long list of ways to cut money but my best suggestion if you really want to become an expert tightwad is to get Amy Dycyzyn's TIGHTWAD GAZETTE series. She has it down to a fine art and exact science. Here they are:

    http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/se...464741-4938444

I also have some great tightwad sites to visit. Let me get some coffee in me and get my eyes seeing clearly and I will get back to this.
