Good Thursday Morning, March 31!!

  1. Last day of March: in like a lion, out like a lamb??? has it been that way for you?? Kind of has been, here . . .

I just did my too-long post at the end of yesterday's thread, so I'm talked out, and need to go to bed.

Hope everyone has a good day! -- D

Good morning. Up as I cant sleep. Working nights as aways and have the next week off and trying to flip for that week. Slept longer than I normally do on the first night so thats a plus. Looks like its going to be a wet kind of day.

My next assignment I get to give 3a-3p evenings a try again in a 20 bed ER. That and its in central Florida instead of northwest. Anyone know of a place to get cheap shorts.

Hey Tweety hows the day shift. Hope it goes well. Personally to many office types around who tell you how to do your job but havent done your job for years. Not that all office types are that way however.

Yep.. "out like a lamb" around here, too. Was an absolutely gorgeous day here yesterday.. not bad today, either, except that some rain is pulling in.
Ah well.. will make that grass all the greener, right?

Hiu rj ! long time no see ! Not quite shorts weather here yet.. :chuckle

Tweets, hope your day goes well for you.

dh has already left for a full day of golf, and I'm still in my PJs sipping my coffee, and deciding what I want to procrastinate on today...

Good Morning - March is going out like a lamb today. Sunny. But the rain is coming back tomorrow.

Woke up today with a phone call that my grandmother died. The one who called me "stevielynn". She was A/O X 4 so to speak until she fell and broke her hip and was placed in a "nursing home" (her sad words) which she specifically said she never wanted and her house was sold without her knowledge by one of her sons and most of her belongings tossed. She had given him legal permission to make decisions but thought he'd always check with her first. (so much for your guardians having your best interests at heart ). It broke her spirit and heart and she descended into dementia very quickly. The last time I visited her she didn't know who I was but had a great time eating ice cream with "that cute little redheaded boy", who is her great-grandson.

So I have mixed feeling this morning about death and dying and advanced directives and living wills and DPOA's and who has your best interests at heart.

The funeral, if my uncle lets us have one, will be like an old west shoot-out I'm sure. No one is getting along. Shots could be fired.

STEPH i am so sorry for your loss...i had a neighbor whom the family put in a nuring home they told her it was going to be temporary while she recovered from a bout of pneumnia
they took her dog to poound, took out everything they wanted, with a good fight between the brothers and the dts in law for the the good stuff...and they had a garage sale for the leavings, put the house on the market...i think that she cried herself to death

My second day shift is going well. I had 8 patients at one point and that is way too much, but I discharged one. Interesting enough at 3pm I dropped to 6 patients, which I feel is way to much. But I have an awesome CNA and she hollers at me if I get too involved, "do your assessments, pass your meds, do your charting!" she yells.

I've actually gotten a lunch break, and another break right now! Cool!
