Good Sunday Morning, January 23rd

  1. what? no one has started the good morning thread yet? well, allow me!

    good morning to everyone

y'all want some breakfast? i've cooked up some bacon, eggs, sausage, french toast, waffles, oatmeal, cold cereal, yogurt, lots of strong, hot coffee, tea, cocoa and orange juice. even prune juice for those so inclined. there is also pancakes and grits. and - ta da! krispy kreme donuts!

well, i am obviously not meant to be a morning person. dh was out and i was tired about 9p.m. last night, so i went to sleep. feeling all self-righteous, going to bed before dawn. so, what happens? i wake up at 1 a.m. and can't go back to sleep. - so much for being a day person.

no big, exciting plans for the day. taking care of the usual - cleaning, laundry etc. may attempt to clean up the back yard if the weather holds out. but whatever you're doing, hope we all have a wonderful sunday. hugs to all -

:smiley_aa :biere: I was waiting for you to!

I'm at work. Nine patients. :angryfire
But managable because I'm with an orientee. (Naturally, we get the most patients when short staffed). So I won't complain.

    Tough luck there Tweety!

Weetz :: Self-righteous eh? I slpet an average of 10-11 hours over my winter break - to make up for all those 3-4 hours sleep nights that I sufffered over the semester

I just got back from the bar. Was a nice night. Met some old friends. Had nice fun. Trounced EVERYBODY and ANYBODY at darts! LOL

Came/walked home and was in such a good mood that I shovelled ALL the snow - even both my neighbours! 2 feet of snow but it wasn't so bad. I needed the excercise!

    Hiya folks!

weetzie, I'm soooo not a morning person either. I think you're either born one way or the other. I mean yeah if I had my choice I'd be up at 5 am in the morning, but it's because I hadn't gone to bed yet!

Tweety, hope the rest of the work night goes well for ya!

Roy, I slept that much during winter break too, my parents would wake me up in time for lunch :chuckle And wow, what a nice neighbor you are, bet they loved that!

Raindreamer -- I do this on ocassion, whenever I feel like I'm in a good mood

Ofcourse, my back is going to ***** about ti tomorrow... but hey ho! What canya do?!!!

It wasn't even my turn to shovel! My roomies better some up with an innovative "Thank You" plan!

As for your sign on name - you really need to be in Bombay, India from June till August. You'll KNOW what "rain" trully means!

G'morning, everybody! Well, I'm a morning person. I'm probably not up for the duration though. Like Roy says, sleeping longer hours to make up for that deficit from school (or in my case, years of just not sleeping very well).

Not much on tap today. Going to meet up with a friend to exchange some freecycle stuff. If we connect with the people we live near, we can save on damage to the environment. Since freecycling is supposed to be environmentally friendly, it seems ludicrous to drive all over creation to get stuff to keep it out of the dump, if we are lacing the air with emissions in the process.

Gonna iron those new and "new" (used from ebay) scrubs I got this week. Need to study for about four hours for class tomorrow. Want to vacuum (I promised myself twice a week, and so far I'm behind--surprise!).

I see it's 25 outside. No more 70's-80's for a while. It's good to be indoors!

    Have a great day everybody!

lol Roy, ahh yeah well I'm from the desert and rain is merely a dream for us most of the times!

Chris, it is chilly out there, burrrrrrrrrrr! I just looked and it's 17 degrees, making my warm, cuddly bed sound inviting right about now.

    :melody: good morning !!! :melody: :d :d :d

yep.. you guessed it.. the ultimate "morning person" here.

always have been. i'm at my best and smiliest first thing in the morning.

boyoboy.. all of ten degrees out with a windchill of well below zero. guess i can't complain.. there are those up in the northeast who have it far worse, i'm sure. the wind was wicked last night.. still is. but hey, i've still got power ! amazing.

thanx for b'fast weetz... think i'll stick with cereal this morning.. heated up, with sliced apples in it. yum.

hey chris.. you can get scrubs at ebay? what are the prices like? never thought of that.. will have to go check them out ! kool !

just going to stay warm in here today.. do the usual load of wash.. maybe two.. and work on some bills. nothin' else planned, work three in a row starting tomorow, so i'm going to be taking it easy today. flannel jammies and all.

    Hi all -

A "cold" front moved in last night... must be all of about....51 degrees out. Sorry for the ice and snow to all of you in the midst of this storm. Stay warm and safe, OK?

Off to do an 8 today then home to play with kiddos and shawn.

    Have a wonderful day all....

Good morning! Our big snowstorm didn't turn out as big as I had feared. Although I know NY got dumped on. Only about 5-6" here. It's cold though.

I'm off to my singing gig at church soon. I got up extra early to clear off my car and leave extra time to get there. I'm so not wanting to leave my nice warm house!

I start my first RN job tomorrow. Hospital orientation for the first week. Wish me luck!

Good luck PennyLane. Glad to hear 5 or 6 inches of snow isn't going to slow you down.
