Good Sunday Morning 4/25/04

  1. Good Sunday Morning everyone! How are you all? We are taking the pacifier away from Piper today and letting her have it only at night. She's almost three for goodness sake and I don't want her still having it when she is almost four, like Trey did! So, it's going to be a day of tantrums and fit throwing! I am just going to have to stick to my guns. It's only been 15 minutes and I'm ready to give them back to her! Thank God Bryce never took one!

I have to go get some groceries this morning before Bryan goes to work. If I don't, I'll be stuck doing it late tonight and I don't want that. I'm going to try to catch up today on what I didn't get done yesterday. Hopefully, the Celebrex will keep working, even though it is the 200 mg now.

What is everyone else up to today? Mine's not very exciting, so let's hear about yours.....

Good morning. It's a gorgeous day here. We slept last night (which is unusal for me to sleep at night) and are going on a picknick at the beach/park today!!! Woot. Should be a lot fun. Lots of friends will be there.

Everyone have a nice Sunday. It's my weekend off and I'm enjoying it. Spouse and I actually spent time together last night, went to the gym together and rented "Master and Commander" and watched it. A rarity since he's been working on his Masters degree the last year and a half. But thankfully he's nearly done in a couple of weeks.

    Good luck with the child.

I've been up about a half hour and the sun came up about 15 mins ago. The hummingbirds are starting to buzz by already. Today I'll have the boys clean the barn out. Mostly straightening out things and we'll work outside til noon. I'm doing a 6p-6a shift tonight so i'll have to take a nap this afternoon.
I'm glad it's finaly warming up. 65 today according to the weatherman.

I actually slept in for a change. Felt good, as it was just all drizzly out there anyway. Will relax today and take it easy. Hope the sun breaks through.

    Goodmorning all!

I have not been here in a while. We're remodeling our basement and it is so tiring after working all day and coming hoe to another major job that this is the first time I've really come on the computer!

I hope everyone has a great Sunday. We had a huge tree removed from the back and the left a mountain of dirt and wood chips. It's pretty cold here today 45 right now.

I'm going to go make oatmeal because everyone is hungry! Hahahahaha

    morning everyone,

beautiful day here in boston, my dogwood is in full bloom and actually shadows the dog poop in my yard . my kids have been on vacation and go back to school tomorrow ....listen to this: my 5th grader has a science project due and he picked the topic of "what makes people happy, sad, mad....". i said to him "WHAT ARE YOU CRAZY??????????". thus, i've been doing research all week since he didn't have a clue on what it entailed. i still can't find simple resources on the different emotional centers of the BRAIN :angryfire , yep, all *******' NEURO. it's due 4/30 and i still don't have a clue as to where to start. this totally, totally sucks. have a lovely day.

Leave it to the kids ! Snicker... guess that just makes YOUR day, eh? Ah well... perhaps a simple sketch of the brain, and those emotional centers... color them in and little arrows pointing with the emotions named... add a few sad, happy, mad smilies to the appropriate places...keep it simple.

Have fun............... (yeh, RIGHT.. I know.)

Ha, earle, good luck on your homework!! I've done well on MY many elementary and middle school assignments!!

We're up early (for a Sunday) to go to Disneyland! We have annual passes, so we go every two months or so . . . it's only about an hour's drive away. Will pick up another 13 y.o. to go with our youngest (these days it's SOOOO important to have a friend go too! ) and we're on our way. Temp predicted in the low 80's, and we have the day off Mon for dental appts (kids are out of school for teacher inservice) -- so we can stay late and sleep in the next morning, if we want! My assignment at Disneyland is to locate some trading pins for another Disney fan at work. DH wants to hear the bluegrass band play at California Adventure (and maybe sneak his little banjo-uke in, so he can park himself on a bench and play -- don't know what TPTB will say to that . . . ). Should be a good day; better go finish getting ready.

Have a safe day, all! -- Diana

It's been raining here! Went to the wedding and reception yesterday and had a good time. I had to laugh at a young couple that I know. They have two kids, 2 year old and 6 month old. They kept busy chasing the 2 year old around! Reminded me of when our two oldest was at that stage. I had to laugh at the Dad and give him a hard time, I've known him since he was a baby! It reminded me how time flies by!

We have a bowling benefit to go to this afternoon. I'm a 4-H leader and my club is raising money for Big Brothers/Big Sisters! Should be a good time!

I did get some cleaning done yesterday and really need to do some laundry today! Hope everyone has a great day!
