Good Sunday Morning, Sept. 30, 2007

  1. Well, hello out there all you sleeping people!

I've been home from work for about 45 minutes - ate two tacos and chips and salsa . . . now, how to go to bed and fall asleep?

Work was busy with trauma tonight - and a drug seeker or two.

    I will see you all in a few hours . . .w/o heartburn I hope.:uhoh21:

    Morning Steph!

I worked an assignment that was trauma med-surg and hated it for that very reason! The pain meds as often as possible.

Need to wake up!!! I am falling asleep here - well at 0300- I am going to go and get vitals and do a neuro check - poor guy - being woken up every 2 hours. I think it must be very hard to be old and to be trapped in a body that does not do what you want it to do anymore.

    Good Morning folks!

Here's your song for the day...

Gary Moore (and Jeff Beck), are in my opinion, two of the most under-rated, un-appreciated, un-publicized blues guitarists of our times.

And speaking of under-rated artists, here's a bonus:

Pat Metheny playing "Intro the Dream" (on a 42-string three neck Pikasso guitar!) followed by "Have You Heard?" (from his "Road To You" album).

I just loooooooooove Pat Metheny Reminds me a lot of Stan Getz.

Well, I better get to some dinner and some sack time.

Hope y'all have a great Sunday!

    Good morning all.

Didn't sleep well but it wasn't my new pillow's fault. Let's just say I'm not too happy with DH today and his night of snoring.

Another beautiful autumn day headed this way today. I might work on closing up the garden in the front yard. I do want to do some marketing on the book, making out press releases and stuff, but I'm trying to ensure I don't do any work (editing or writing) today as I am doing too much of that too often. I'm not getting any breaks. Heck, I even worked on my vacation!

DS, the one who played all that volleyball yesterday, is nursing a sore achilles tendon. I remember the first time I cam across a patient with a snapped achilles tendon. That grossed me out big time. Just the thought of it! We'll have to get my son's foot better before his next game.

Not much else to report from Montreal.

    Have a great day everyone,
    Marijke

:icon_hug: I know what 'lack of sleep' entails. Has DH ever been tested for sleep apnea?

good morning from muffie and tammy cat

boy she sure is a cuddle bundle

now she is lapping at my leftover cereal milk

when we pour our coffee in the morning she expects one cc of milk in a tiny bowl on the floor too

i have been tammy's mom just over four years now and she has gone from distanced scaredy cat to calling the shots 24/7

so it's another lazy sunday with lowered expectations and work looming on the horizon

ttyl yall have a great [lazy] day

My ex used to snore AND ground his teeth incessantly and LOUDLY!

Unfortunately I found out I was a snorer too when my ex and my son taped me snoring one night ... and over the last year I have found myself grinding my own teeth...

I hate it when what goes around comes around ...

So I take it you needed the coffee this am?

    Sounds like a nice morning!

I am getting ready to get ready for church; clothes laid out, coffee still being infused at 360 cc/hr -- yep I drink it slowly and savor every bite

He did go to a dr about the snoring and the dr wanted to laser off some tissue in the back of the throat, but he warned DH that it was very uncomfortable so DH ran home without any more appointments. He pretty well only snores when he's lying on his back and last night he kept doing that. I was getting pretty ticked off with him.

Yeah, apparently so do I now, but it doesn't disturb hubby since he's a heavy sleeper. I'm losing a bit of weight so that may help a bit too.

On my first cup now! As soon as I hear DH coming out of the room, I'm going back up there for a power nap.

LOL Clemm!! My ex had really bad restless legs from a medication he was taking and when you get a 300 lb man tossing and turning that is also fun!!

Then my sister and I, for a variety of reasons, ended up sharing a bed for over a month and I got used to proding her to make her roll over when she began to snore really bad!!

Good morning everyone. No special plans for today. Have to get dd to take me to WalMart. Otherwise it should be peaceful. I hope you all have a glorious God blessed Sunday.
