Good Saturday Morning....June 26th!

  1. Hey everybody.....

Well...........I go for my physical on Monday and then begin the 12 yes 12 days of orientation...woo hoo! I have 2 friends who I will pay to watch the kiddos while I am away.

I chose to drop my class next semester (trying like heck to remember my mantra about this being a marathon not a sprint). Moderation is just not my thing, you know? I just really thought that 2 weeks of orientation with a class from 8-10:30 pm would be a little bit too much.. ..and hey I can always take algebra in the fall, right?

DH and I had a great conversation tonight...I just really love it when we get time alone to chat and reconnect and with 3 kids this is a rarity at my house...LOL

We have Keirs Kindergarten teacher coming over at 9 then my friend Julia and I are going to see Farenheit 9/11 followed by a slumber party at our house in the evening...It's going to be a full day so I may not get back here till later. Hope you all have a lovely day today.

    The QOD!.....

What is your favorite time of day?

    morning sista kate,

boy, your life sounds full and stimulating. just don't take on too many stressors at once. i think you're doing the right thing about school.

favorite time of day is late noc/early morning hours. i'm definitely a noc person, for that is when i become most creative and energetic. i am totally alone and we all know what a hermit i am, so i'm in my reclusive glory.
    and you sista???

me too! when it's quiet and I can read, paint do whatever uninterupted. Before I had kids I was one of those people who was like yea..OK, you need "alone time"

now I salivate at the thought of it...

    Big Love coming your way.

I love the wee hours of the morning too, as long as I'm not at work.

Kate, what are you doing that takes that kind of orientation? Sounds like you have a full day!

    Hey Kimmy!

I watched that movie "Monster" and chatted on the phone with a friend and then went to bed. I think my favorite time of the day is early morning, it's the calm before the storm.

<----------that was piper yesterday and her queen says "thank you" *in a very polite little girl tone* for all of your birthday wishes.

now, good morning! how is everyone doing? my favorite time of day is any time that the kids are quiet, whether they are sleeping or off with their dad somewhere. i can generally get things done at any time of day, though i have a hard time smack in the middle of the day (around 2-3 pm). usually, it's the coffee wearing off.

kate.....i don't blame you one bit for taking time can most definately take algebra in the fall. i know what you mean about not getting time to talk to hubby. *sigh* we thought we were going to have some private time last night and bryce kept waking up. then piper came toddling into bed with us and by morning we had both older kids there! lol! it can get frustrating.

netters, leslie, tweeters and donny.........good morning! was monster? i'm dying to see it!

suzanne.....did marie get there okay? how was it to see her?

fran......what is the best time of day for you, seriously. if i was able to come there, what would be the best time of day? (getting on bry again, but i don't know if he's quite getting it!)

i stayed up last night going over my notes and the cpr book. that instructor really had me messed up but i re-copied everything and marked where i have questions. i will go in early monday night so that i can ask him all my questions before everyone else gets there and throws the whole thing off track. okay, so here's what's really weird.....the infant dummy really got to me. i mean i was almost crying. i could feel the tears welling up and thought "oh my god, how will i ever do this?" i made it through, but do you guys think it was just because i have a baby now that this bothered me? i hope i grow out of it! good thing peds. is not an aspiration of mine lol!

i have to go through the top part of the kids' closet and scrub the walls (there is paneling there and when they tore down the ceiling, it left white dusty residue that did not come off the first time i did them). then i'll dust in there and scrub the wood floor, vacuum and one room will be done. i'm starting the living room today which just means picking up and going through things for the next yard sale. it won't take long at all in there because everything is basically something we will keep since we use it all the time.

we had a small cake last night for piper with balloons and she doesn't even miss the presents. so funny! she appreciates every little thing but trey, otoh...well....he's nuts. he thought he was getting a present yesterday. *sigh* how can i make him more appreciative of the little things?

going to catch up, do some research and get to work......have a good one everyone!

    hugs all around..........

Awww Kimmy! Don't worry it gets better as the kids get older. Our youngest slept in our bed off and on until she was 4. She finally woke up to the fact that that is just not comfy. She sleeps in her own bed now. Sometimes she likes to cuddle with me but she doesn't stay long. It's not the same anymore. LOL. Monster was good. She was really messed up.

Waiting patiently for the rain to stop so that I can go out and get in my walk.

Thanks Melissa.....we don't even rent movies because we never get to watch them all the way through without distractions! LOL! I'm sure Kate and many others can relate!

Marie's flight gets in about 10:30 pm, about three hours from now. I am so excited to see her. I used to see her almost everyday when I was still living in the US.

The CPR training comes in handy for pets also. I resuscitated my sister's dog when he was about 2 years old, and he lived to be about 13 or 14.

My little kids have been on such good behavior the past 24 hours, it is almost spooky. Even my housekeeper commented on it today. I guess my lecture really worked...............who says that dogs don't understand? They have been the perfect angels, almost too good, wonder what they have planned after Marie gets here?

    Have a great day everyone....................

Suzanne.....are you picking her up? That's funny about the dogs. I think they understand to an extent and they understand alot more than we give them credit for!
