good morning to all (even though i'm soon to get ready for bed, here!!)!

[font="comic sans ms"]i diddled and piddled today; took some things to the salvation army, got a tutorial from dh on new notebook/laptop (his gift to me ). it's still so new, i don't feel like it's mine yet. guess that'll come with time and use.

i went shopping at the mall today (so un-me!). wanted some black pants for church. ended up with a pair of pants, a skirt and two tops. sale prices, so i'm happy for that. there are such weird clothes out now, --- i'm sorry, i couldn't wear most of them (harks back to hippie days, i'm afraid; got tired of those clothes!!). they look cute on you young things, though.

ok, better get to bed. dh and i went to singing bands tonite at the hospital. tomorrow, as usual, we'll help with music @ the sabbath schools, then have lunch. don't know what to do in the p.m., as the ds's need transport to friends' houses around 6-ish. so i really can't plan anything long-winded for the early afternoon.

yeah, yeah, such an interesting life, lol!

we're supposed to get rain tomorrow here (finally! steph and my mom and sibs up north are hogging all the rain!!), and again on monday. it'll be nice.

tuesday i'll be heading back to work after a week off. i didn't get as much done as i wanted to, but i did get some things done. it's been nice to be off, as we worked soooooooooooo hard the week before!!!

yup, i'm going now. here's one from my 14yo's friend: what do you call a boomerang that doesn't come back???

    a stick. :d :d :d

Good morning Cheerful and Thanks for starting the thread.
Dianah, we could sure use some rain here too. We are about 12 inches behind for the year. Currently there is a state-wide burn ban going on.

Just got in from work a little bit ago. Will be heading off to bed very, very soon.
Got a question. What exactly is a leukotriene???? Was looking at the singulair website. Investigatin some options for little man. He has asthma and I believe some pretty harsh allergies. Poor kids nose just runs all the time. I know all about the histamine response, from what I did look up It appears that the leukotrienes are a seperate but similar substance released from the cells in the whole antigen/inflammatory response????? Have I got this right??? Will try to get him into the pedi next week and see what we can do for the little guy. His nose is raw from all the wiping even using the Puffs.
Huh... what was that??? I believe my bed is calling out to me.

    Well, tonite I'm at work.
I'm Charge; Busy. Only one empty bed. However, we do have one pt. who may not make it thru the nite. She is a Hospice Pt.

I'll be off tonite & Sunday; no plans tho. DH & I will probably just watch tapes.

May grab some fruit from you, Renee. Thank you for breakfast.
We nite workers do appreciate a snack here & there.

Still have not had time to read the threads from the last few days.

Will try t o do that later.

So anyway, Wishing you all a Wonderful last day of 2005.
For all posters before me & yet to come.

    See you all later.

Y'all want some rain??? Please just PM me with your address and I'll be more than happy to send you ours! Went to the store this evening, and turning the corner in the truck had me hydroplaning, there is so much water on the roads. Which just about never happens cause we've got good drainage - rain must be overwhelming for the poor little sewers. Then coming into the shopping center parking lot, there was a car parked with water up to mid hubcap! The entire parking lot was a gigantic puddle. Leaving had me mid-puddle and then the brakes flooded and I almost couldn't stop at the light. Oh, yes, you can take all of it you want.

With that happily offered, I'll say 'goodnight'

    Good morning!

I was hoping to be called off but it looks like it's not going to happen.

The breakfast looks yummy, but I followed my diet and made a soy milk/yogurt/raspberry/lime (fresh off my tree)/almond/protein powder shake, it's o.k. tasting but needs some sugar. LOL Fortunately the diet doesn't call for many shakes like this.

Hope everyone has a safe New Year's Eve tonight.

Good morning! Hope you all have a peaceful New Year's Eve... I know I will. DS is at his girlfriend's DD is at her boyfriend's and DH has gone into town on some errands so I am all on my ownsome! The quiet is fantastic!! Never thought I would say that.

The weather here is ok. Sorry that some of you are experiencing the rain... it's usually like that here.

I guess tonight we will sit up till midnight, have a small glass of something and then try to sleep through all the fireworks in the neighbourhood.

    Happy New Year everyone.

    Well, hi from work

Weezie is right - the rain is amazing . . . .we drove to Red Bluff yesterday and then back to Redding and home and there was so much water everywhere . . every little creek was a rushing river, the wind was so strong even our pickup was being pushed around on the freeway and THERE WERE STILL PEOPLE GOING OVER 70 MPH!

My oldest made it to Reno ok - lots of rain that way too. He will be in Vegas on Sunday. Then So. Cal on Monday. We bought him chains just in case he ran into snow but this storm is a warm one (50 degrees). We really need colder weather - snow or a freeze - so dh can go back to work.

    Happy New Year's Eve . . . .
