Good Saturday Morning 04/09/05

  1. Ying's exam was today. She was in there the entire time............she is quite nervous over her results.........we will just have to wait and see......

Rained on and off today.........Farmer's Market in the morning. The strawberries that they have are just unbelievable right now. They melt in your mouth.

Jello came out with a sugar-free cheesecake flavored pudding. It is wonderful when made with cream and half and half. Strawberries on the top and you are in heaven...........

Getting ready for an early turn in, have a great weekend............

PresC, I see your name up there, come out and post!

Hi all. Suzanne, when will Ying get results? How is her gut feeling for how she did (not always reliable, I understand)? Is she just relieved to have it overwith?

The strawberries and the cheesecake yogurt sound yummy! I guess I need to go to the Thurs p.m. market nite or to the local health food store (maybe Trader Joe's . ..) for strawberries, as the grocery store ones haven't been as good as former years. Like I should be surprised that they aren't good. Duh. Usually the roadside stand or farmer's market fruit is WORLDS better than supermarket fruit.

I better get to bed myself. G'nite all.

thought i'd come out from:behindpc: and say hello. i was finished with my group report and all my papers by 5 last night. push on my pj's and went layed in bed and chilled out. these two classes have been really really hard this time. i am about ready to go crazy:selfbonk: :smackingf finally starting to feel better dr. gave me 40mg of lasix to take qod for 10 days. swelling is finally going down, but between the antibiotic and the lasix i have the runs but worth it to get rid of all the extra fluid 25lbs. is a lot!!!!!! she put me back in pt where we are doing mild stretches and electrical stimulation with heat to my back. starting to feel better there also, we have groceries to get today so i will see how that experience goes before i know if it is really helping.

well glad to see everyone, hope you enjoy you weekend. for those of you who are working hope it 's a smooth day for you.sorry not to mention individually but i think about each and every one of you ever day and you all are always in my prayers, even though i can't make it here as much any more. i have 2 more weeks left of these classes. i can't wait to get these over with. well take care & talk to u all later:wink2:

Good morning!! I had a hard time getting comfortable with the broken arm last night, the lortab didn't really seem to help much and neither did the ice pack. Took some naproxen about 5am and feels much better now. Bad news though.......rode out to the farm with hubby this morning to check on these cows that are calving (how my arm got broke in the first place) and we have another one having problems. Looks like it will be a long day for us.

New job starts Monday and I think we should be able to work around the broken arm pretty easily. I remember her telling me that I'll be reading the policies/procedures at first and then learning the paperwork so that should work out ok.

Hope you guys all have a happy weekend!! Take care!!

Teresa - sorry about your cow problem and your arm. We are out of ranching and farming now - I miss some of it. My husband misses all of it.

Working today - one RN, one LVN and NO CNA because she called in sick and we have no replacements. We have 7 patients. I have one very unhappy RN. I'm doing the LVN's patient's initial assessments though. And I've given some IV meds for the LVN too. Hopefully it won't be busy in the ER today and I can keep helping.

My husband went to Kool April Nights in Redding last night . . . it is a car show like Hot August Nights in Reno. I went to bed.

Gotta go be of service to my staff now . ..

    Good Morning,
Fertilizing the yards today. The grass is starting to green up a bit but I've yet to see a green leaf on any trees. I did hit a big bug on the motorcycle so I guess spring is on the way. Been doing a lot of riding lately. On Wednesday I take a trip to Texas around the Austin area. I haven't had any time off since last September and I'm more than ready. 6 days off in a row! I'll probably put a couple thousand miles on the bike.
We've been digging up garden areas and putting compost down. Soon we'll be planting.

    Hello all!!

Teresa, hope your arm feels better!! We have cattle too and I helped DH pull a calf several weeks ago. It didn't make it but it's twin did!! We have had several sets of twins during the past year! We raise mostly Herefords, what breed to you raise?

Rusty, our grass could be mowed so I guess we will do that tomorrow. I really need to pick up our yard first. By the house is still a mess with all our remodeling going on! These contractosr are real messy and it's driving me nuts!

I'm at my mom's today. Staying in town because my oldest has tennis practice and a party later. I just don't want to waste the gas driving back and forth from the country. I think I will do some cooking to freeze for us at our house. This is a pain to have no kitchen! My mom comes home tomorrow and I don't want to impose on her anymore than I have to!

I leave for NYC on Wednesday and I am so excited. We will be back on Friday. DS is not happy with us because we won't allow him to take lots of money! Heck, I don't even plan to spend that much. All our meals are provided for on this trip! One of his friends has been bragging on how much money he is bringing. I hate peer pressure!!!

Well I'd better get busy! Hope everyone has a wonderful Saturday!
