Good Morning! Wednesday, Nov. 29, 2006

  1. Up and at 'em!!!! Get your lazy butts moving!

Alright, I really need some sleep. Starting to get slap happy.

Took mom to Indy to check out one last apartment. Loved it on site and put deposit down. When I sign the lease I will officially have my own place. Ok, not really my own, seeing as my parents are helping with this project.

Actually, they offered and basically told me I had to get out or else I was going to come unglued. Yeah, think that happened years ago. Opened the blinds up in the apartment and low and behold, guess what's across the street.......

Yep, you guessed it - a church. But not just any old church - a Catholic church. Mom says to me "now you have no excuse not to go to mass young lady. All you have to do is look outside and the guilt will wash over you."

No plans for today. Got 2 new books yesterday. One I've already read -"Under the Wire" by Cindy Gerard. Great series of romantic suspense. I needed something light after reading "90 minutes in heaven", a guy's true story of being dead for 90 mins until a preacher came along the accident site and prayed upon him.

Alright, I've rattled enough for today - or for the moment. Have a great day!

    GOOD MORNING, PEEPS!!!

Well, Back at work; At least tonite we have our CNA---well, except for now--she has to go Sit with a pt. from 0230--0400. She'll be back, the, tho.
    We're busy!! What's new???

Beth, I have also read that 90 Minutes in Heaven. I was impressed. read it very quickly. I have passed it on to one of the Cleaning Ladies from work & she has since passed it on to several of her Church members.

I have not read Cindy Gerard, tho. May have to check her out. Right now reading the latest by Tess Gerritsen. (sp) It's VERY Good!!

I got so much work done yesterday with DH gone all day!! It was all computer work, tho. I have made most of my cards now and have finished all of my labels plus return address labels. I just need to get more card stock now & I can finish.

The bad part was that I let myself get so keyed up that I had a VERY hard time sleeping--in fact got les then 4 hrs. Oh well!!

This AM have to take DH to MD. His cough is getting worse---last year saw MD had BAD pneumonia---they did X-Rays, CT Scans, PFT's. Still were unsure what was wrong. Well, we'll see what happens today.
If it isn't one thing it's another.

After that, I guess we'll go to Office Depot & get te rest of my card Stock.

Looks like it will be another busy day!!

Well, better get moving--I've got work to do!!

    Have a GREAT DAY!!

Oh, our weather has been GREAT--60-65!! However, that will end on Thursday, supposedly!! We'll see.

Enjoy a nice Cup of Joe on me--

For those who prefer--a nice cuppa tea--

    See you all later

What kind of books does Tess Gerritson write?

Hope your husband is ok. Will be thinking of you this am.

I'm going to miss our warm weather too. I don't know about Chicago, but SE Indiana could possibly get snow on Thurs and Fri. Mother Nature cannot give us 60-65 degrees and then snow in the same week. It should be illegal. Please write to your congressmen.

    Beth,

    You are so FUNNY!!

Tess Gerritson write thrillers--murder mysteries. She has a couple recurring
characters--a woman police detective and a woman medical examiner in Boston. They are really good books--fast paced.

Our weather has been much like yours & our predictions are the same for Thursday & Friday:angryfire ---However, as of our 10PM news, they said there's a chance the storm may go North!!! YES!!!
I like the sound of that!!

    See You

I think I'll pick up one of her books. Sounds good. If you like those kind of medical/mystery/murder books have you read Karin Slaughter? It's a series about a pediatrician/medical examiner who lives in the same town as her ex husband and chief of police. Really good but when it comes to the ME part it gets explicit, which I like. Leaves nothing to the imagination.

    Beth

Have read all of Karin Slaughter's books; our reading tastes run alomg the same lines.

Funny, I was just looking to see when Slaughter will have another book coming out.

    Well, it's almost 0500 here--2 1/2 hrs left.

The busiest part of the nite is coming up--all my blood draws, etc

    Good Morning all
I am suppose to be off today, they called and wanted me to come in. I said no, but now I am awake and thinking harder about it. Christmas is coming could use the money.
i hope everyone's day is good one.

Yesterday one of our dieticians was in a very bad accident on her way to work, she was carefligted. She could use prayers. Thanks

Good morning. Congratulations on your new apartment. I'll leave the good old Catholic guilt comment alone.

jmg, will be thinking about your friend/coworker.

I have a few errands to run. I might have the closing on my house, where the ex is off of the mortgage and the house is mine alone. On one hand I'm ready to move on. On the other had it's a sad beginning to the next chapter. Plus, I'm not looking forward to being so broke.

Otherwise it will be a routine day.

    Hi

I'm almost finished with most of my morning chores here. Blood is drawn & sent; Pt's cleaned & turned, meds given; last minute charting still needs doing. I'm not used to having only 4 pt's--we usually have 6.

JMG--will be praying for your co-worker.

Tweety--I'll be thinking about you today; Hope the signing goes well even tho it may be bittersweet.

Siri, you're frogs/toads (oh heck, who knows the difference) are looking a little bleak today as if they had two much to drink last night.

Or maybe they just didn't get their morning coffee.
