Good Morning! Tuesday, Sept. 26, 2006

  1. Good Morning!!

It's good night for me. I'm going to read a book and then go to sleep. I'll get up at noon and go exercise.

That's my big plan for the day. Hopefully, my job won't be calling me at 0500 wanting me to work today. I hate when they do that. Besides, I'm sick of that place.

Hard to believe that September is almost over. I'm already Christmas shopping.

Hope everyone has a great day!

    Hi,

    Good Morning(?) folks!

I don't believe I've ever posted in one of these threads before - but I see that they are a regular feature in the Break Room. Y'all seem to have so much fun - thought I'd jump right in

So yes, the name's Logan. Y'all can call me Matthew. Matt. Joker. etc. ... s'long as you don't call me PITA! hahaha

I've been a nurse for any years now and have specialized mostly in Peds besides general Med-Surg. I've had a fun, exciting and varied life so far - lived in many places, did many things - some pleasant and others not to pleasant.

I'm a rather fun loving fellow, part of it stemming from having first hand experience with the truthfulness of the old saying "life is too short".

Ok - enough about me! I hope to learn more about y'all.

    So yes, GOOD MORNING Tuesday!

Does the newbie have to provide breakfast?

    Thanks,
    Matthew

    Good Morning folks!

I'm off to beddy bye soon!

Can't leave you without your song for the day!

That song marks a highlight in my young life. The day "pigs flew!" After hearing for decades that Pink Floyd "will reunite and play the day Pigs shall fly" - it happened! I got hooked onto Floyd when I first heard "Dark Side of the Moon" - released in 1973 .... a full 11 years BEFORE I was even born!

But then again - we are talking about the timeless classic of "Pink Floyd".

Today's song is not an "exceptional song" by Floyd standards - but it's a monumental song (and a magnificent performance) neverth'less.

    I hope y'all enjoy it!

    GOOD MORNING, PEEPS!!

    Hello to All!!

I'm at work & let me tell you, I am FREEZING!! It is so cold in here!!I don't know why they keep it this cold here. We have had to call the engineer every nite this weekend!! we're full again; That's OK by me!! Again, I worked all weekend & now again tonite, I have different patients!! Every single one of them is different!!
The day shift raises all kinds of hell if they get different patients!!So why, then, is it Ok for us nite staff to get different patient's ??? It just doesn't seem fair--but then again, I guess life isn't fair.
I know i don't feel great tonite, and the patient situation isn't making me feel any better & I can just feel that I am getting in a worse mood with each passing minute.:angryfire :angryfire :angryfire

We are supposed to go shoppig again after work. But the way I feel, I really don't want to go. We were going to buy new shades for the living room lamps. Mine are really "done in"!!! We're having a card party Sat. evening, & I would like to have them for then.

Bethin--Thank you for starting the thread!!

    Don--Get some good Z's!!

Rain, Sorry to hear that your shifts were so busy!! I hope you also get good Z's!!

Matt--WELCOME to the Good Morning thread!!:groupwelcome:
I hope you will enjoy our "Crazy" little group!!

Roy!! Since I'm at work, I can't check out the song of the day site yet.
I'm looking forward to it, since I love just about anything my Pink Floyd!!
You have been picking out some really good music--but, then, we've talked about music before & have many of the same likes!!:Melody: :Melody:
How did your interview go, yesterday?

    Chats--Good Z's to you, too!!

Wishing all you day people a good sleep is making me SLEEPY!!, too!!
We;;, Only about 5 hrs left here!!

I ended up cancelling my nails Mon. AM, so now I am behind in my list of things needing to be done!! Why do we need to sleep!!????

    Well, I'll check in later.
I'll wish you all a really good morning!!
I'll leave you all with some Drinks, tho!!

    Hope you enjoy!!

To All before me & all After--Have a Great day!!

Morning all. It's my "baby's" 14th birthday today. Can't believe that huge thing that towers over me now was my little angel boy. By the time we get to the USA he'll be just about old enough to start his drivers ed!! WHERE DID THE TIME GO????

Hi Matt - great breakfast!! Made me feel really hungry sitting here eating my bowl of cereal!!

Thanks for the song Roy - LOVE Pink Floyd!

Morning Mary - thanks for the pot of tea - needed that to wash down the breakfast! Sorry your assignments are rubbish - don't suppose you could say anything to the in charge?? Guess you would if you could though!

To everyone else before & after this post enjoy your day; hope it's a good one xxxxx

Hi Matt! There are a few things you need to remember. Somewhere there is a rule book but I can't find it.

    1) I'm always right. If you remember that everything will go smoothly. I always win. Always.

    2) Siri, well, she's southern--I think. If not, she's just plain crazy. She eats possums.

    3) jnette starts everything. It's always her fault.

    4) Don't try to argue with us women. You won't win.

    5) Cheerfuldoer is the Queen of Gastronomical Delight.

I'm sure Siri will post her so called version of rules which are false--please refer to rule number 1.

The song wouldn't play for me! I'm guessing it was "Wish you were here". If so, I happen to love that song. There's not a song by Pink Floyd that I hate.

I believe I was born in the wrong decade. I should have been born in the 50's so I could of went to Woodstock and enjoyed Hendrix, Pink Floyd, The Beatles, Janis, etc. Of course, if I had been born in the 50's I'd be old.

I cried on Sat when someone asked me how old I was. I think too far ahead. I figure I'll be 35 before I graduate from law school IF I don't join the Navy after nsg school. If the Navy takes me I'll join. I'm making a career out of school. I love it.
