Good Morning Tuesday, January 3, 2006

  1. It's only 8:30 PM here on the West Coast, but I thought I'd get the GM thread going before Grace or somebody else whose day already started jumps on it.

Tomorrow I start my job hunt in earnest.......dh and I were supposed to watch our grandson while the kids go snowboarding, but SOMEBODY'S got to get on the stick and find a job, so he's going to baby-sit while I dress up and go out to drop off some resumes. I'm not looking forward to it, but it must be done.

Jnette and Leslie, my thoughts are with you both tonight, and may you find peace within your hearts despite tragedy and loss.

To everyone else yet to come: be happy, be well, be safe........and have a wonderful day, wherever you are.:kiss

GOOD LUCK On the job hunt, Marla. Hello everyone. Have a great day (tomorrow)

Marla, I hope your efforts are successful; you'll be in my thoughts.

I just watched "Finding Neverland," with Johnny Depp and Kate Winslet. What a beautiful movie! Sad parts, yes; disappointing, yes (some of the story line). But that is LIFE, and the overwhelming, ongoing thread through the movie is HOPE and BELIEVE, and the love of family. I really enjoyed it. If any of you get the chance to see it, please do.

Ah, back to work for me, and school for the kids, tomorrow. I need to gear up for this. I could really get used to staying at home, lol!

Have a wonderful day, affirm and contribute to the good, do not let the toxic affect you. Later! ------ D

    Good morning all!

Watching the Nokia Bowl right now. I'll miss college football . All those hot guys running around in tight pants. You just can't beat it. I've also have come to love the game. Really, I do.

Am soooo tired. I baby sat my nieces today. They were so fussy and grumpy. My db and SIL and me could not handle two babies. We think they are getting ready to teethe, so I'm off to the beach! Just kidding. It's a running joke in my family that when it comes to sickness and teething I'm off.

Marla, hope the job hunt goes well. I'm off to read yesterday's thread.

What's for breakfast? No possum please. I'm trying to lose weight. I think a screwdriver sounds good. I love OJ in the morning.

Well, well, well....you mean an "up over" sibling got to start the thread for Tuesday? What on earth will our dear "down under" sibing Grace do with herself tonight? Do a little jig or something? Love you Grace dah-lin! :kiss

On my way to bed...it is 2330 hour, and I've got to rise and shine by 0630. My grandson returns to school tomorrow, so dd and I will drop him off at school before starting our daily errands on the road and at home. New house looks great...old house looks awful -- needs a serious cleaning job. Just brought doggie home from old house. She was barking up a storm when she first got here, but has settled down since then. DD is looking for a new home for her because she is a rat terrier, and as we have come to learn those dogs are NOT trainable. Met another rat terrier owner today who totally agrees. She had to say goodbye to her rat terrier too. Cute dogs...just ornery as heck, hyper as all get out, and hard headed to boot.

JNETTE...I'll say a prayer for your friends and also one for you and your dh. May God sustain you in your hour of need tomorrow, and embrace you all with his comfort, peace, compassion, and love. :flowersfo :icon_hug:

Nighty night to all who are winding down for the night, and may the force of energy and alertness be with those who are up and at 'em tonight for whatever reason. Until tomorrow....

AWWWW cheer. I am slowly discovering that the rat terrier is trainable with a fly swatter, a spray bottle and a very stern voice. Our little girl no longer eats the curtains, is completely housebroke and makes a very wide arc around the kitchen trashcan(the flyswatter). She is as hyper as anything I have ever seen I will grant you that and I have had many doubts about her staying with us but it has finally started to level out. If I can just keep her head out of the catbox now. ........ I am gonna have to move the flyswatter upstairs neat the catbox.
Marla GOOD LUCK in teh job hunt today.
Sleep tight Siri. Since my little wild man JUST finally went to sleep. Maybe I can head soon myself. He has been on quite the tear the last few days. If he isn't STANDING on the Dining room table he is dismantling, destroying or emptying something that he knows is a NO NO. Toys have held no interest for him. If this is what he is turning into at 14 months what the heck is he gonna be like at 2!!!! I was threatening to go to pets mart and get one of those big dog crates by the time dh got home from work tonight. Just so I can go to the bathroom without fear.
Just sitting here now enjoying a little blessed peace and Q.

heheheh super, I made french toast for Monday's breakfast, will that do? OK, then french toast it is, for breakfast! Made with hearty whole wheat bread, sliced crossways, butter melting on it, a sprinkle of powdered sugar, and THEN you pour the syrup (whatever flavor you prefer). Some milk, juices, tea and coffee (decaf too). Bananas, apples, grapes and melon for fruit.

Catch you all later! ---------- D
