Good Morning Tuesday April 5th!

  1. So, I do learn, albeit slowly, that when I post early on the morning thread (or start it, lol) that I get to "see" more of you all!

Therefore, GOOD MORNING!! (although it's 10:45 on the West coast . . .)

Due to be another busy week in the Cath Lab (we're sOOOOOOOO popular!! ). We had a CHF inservice by one of the NPs who runs the CHF clinic. It was very interesting! Timely for us, as we see a lot of CHF'ers come in for baseline caths before we refer them for their ICDs or Bi-V pacers. And what an array of medications they take, bless their hearts (literally!)! All the meds are so important, too, in their own way . ..

Speaking of hearts, I'm thinking of you, Jnette!!!!!!!! I hope you return with a regular rhythm and telling us the procedure was "a piece of cake." Hugs.

Hope you all have a good day!

    Good morning everyone.

I've been away a while, and decided to dip my toes back into the allnurses waters.

    How has everyone been?

For those of you who remember me, I'm doing ok. Not great, ok. I just needed to pull back from most things and regain some perspective.

Off to ACLS class this morning and in a total panic. Those stupid heart blocks.

Got to go to chemistry chat. We're starting a chapter I haven't read yet, and I'm not done with this week's test. This class is the pits. LOL

    Good morning.

Yesterday I went to my drs appointment, I have a Viral Respiratory Infection. I haven't been back to work since March 31st, I had Friday and Saturday off, missed work on Sunday and also yesterday.

My doctor wants me to take today off and tomorrow. He wrote a "sick note" out for me to give to my work. I'm worried this could really affect my job, since one of our night nurses is on vacation. So, I'm trying to decided if I should to try to make it through work tonight or listen to my doctor and rest. I feel like crap, no fever today, just feel really ucky! I know that if I call in, the scheduler will have a tizzy fit...she always does. If I miss tonight and tomorrow I have two days off, Thurs and Friday.

I feel like a little kid trying to decide if I should be a good employee or listen to my dumb body.

What would you do? Suck it up and go to work or stay home in bed?

Stay home and take care of yourself. As a doctor friend has told me over and over . .

"You are not the answer to the hospital's staffing problems".

And don't feel guilty. You are sick.

    steph :kiss
