Good Morning- Tues., Sept. 19, 2006

  1. Come on everyone. Wake up! Everyone had to have slept Monday away 'cause there were only 3 pages on the GM thread! Gotta do better today, K?
Now I've got to get some sleep 'cause I've got hospice visits to do in the AM. Probably 6 or so. Enough to keep me out of mischief. Have a good Tuesday. Keep us posted on how you're doing. Some of us have to live vicariously, ya know.
I've got a water tower full of coffee ready for ya. Especially Siri, Native and all you other caffeine addicted souls.

i'm awake! have been since 0400 and it's now 1500! insomnia is a delight isn't it?
g'day everyone hope your tuesday is happy.
mine consisted of having a haircut, and that's about it for this day! nothing too drastic i'm pleased to report.
ds arrives home tomorrow night! ssssooo looking forward to seeing him again.
i might not be online much, if at all, in the coming week.
as well as ds coming home for a visit, the new carpet gets laid over a couple of days. we've been moving furniture into other rooms in readiness. the first section will be laid tomorrow. which means the computer workstation has to be moved from here to another room & i wont have access to the phone jack. yes, we're still on dial-up! so i'll be off air for awhile.
if it's at all possible, i will definately log on and pop in here. can't go too long without my allnurses fix! :heartbeat
hmmm, i could always go to the local library! i'll see how things shape up.
ok, take care all and enjoy your tuesday!

    Marilyn-Hope your visits go smoothly!

Grace-Enjoy your visit with ds. I know you must be excited!

Roy-Try to get some sleep. I'll be joining you shortly. (Not literally, of course. )

It's been an ok night here so far. They pulled our 1 aide to sit, but we have a new/old nurse orienting, so there are four of us. I have to give a pt a Fleet's enema. The GI doc ordered it, but then CT called for him so I wasn't going to give him the enema and have him explode on their table. Here he got bumped for traumas and no one told me until I called @ 02:00. They're like "You can go ahead and give it to him now." At 02:00, I don't think so. I'll give it around 05:30. The lab will already be here to wake him up anyway. No 06:00 meds so the rest of the morning shouldn't be too hectic.

    Everyone to come:

    Happy Tuesday! :flowersfo :1luvu:

Well, another week under way. I'm at work & so far not so bad. My patient's are pretty good. We are full, so no more admits. The WHOLE Hosp. is jam-packed!! LOTS of patients!!

I was going to come On-line here yesterday afternoon, but we now have a VISITER!!! who we took in unexpectedly!!
Let me explain---- DH had his physical t herapy in the AM; we then went to a small Malll & did a little shopping & then ended up in our Favorite Mexican restaurant. OK. So far so good. We were coming home & in the Alley behind our House, DH suddenly slammed on the brakes as he thought he saw a cat & didn't want to hit it. Well, NO CAT____
it was a TINY little dog--a Chihuahua. Well, he wasn't moving, so I opened the car door & he hopped right in.
He had a little collar, but no tags; He has a VERY thin piece of broken string hanging off the collar.; Well, I couldn't leave him there to get run over--------------COULD I ?????? Not me. So, we took him in.
We've been asking around, but no one seems to know anything about him.
I'm hoping that maybe today there will be some lost dog signs up.
I'll be out walking with MY dog when I get home, so I can check around.

he's a cute dog, & I don't really think he's that young; My dog has been quite good with this little tiny guy. I'm surprised!!

Well, hope I find the owner. DH does not want to keep him!!

I need to get going--have bloods to draw!!!

    See you all later.

    Good morning!

Roy, I had that 45 single as a kid, it was a huge hit by the was Number 2 for a number of weeks, although it charted in 1972, not 1974. It probably got stuck behing the mega hits Alone Again Naturally or The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face both of which were #1 for six weeks apiece. FYI.

My day is going to consist of housework, study, hopefully yoga, and my online chat class tonight.

Good morning, Tweety. When I took a yoga class at university, I did a routine to, "The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face". Loved that song......loved that movie where I first heard that song, "Play Misty for Me".

    Have a good day!!!

Siri, I think "The First Time........." is one of the best written, best sung, best produced and arrranged songs of all time. Right up there with Bridge Over Troubled Water as my two favorite songs of all time because the overall packages of voice and arrangement is so beautiful. I recently got a CD of all Roberta Flacks greatest hits. She has a lovely voice.
