Good Morning, Thursday, October 12, 2006!

  1. All Premium Members are invited and encouraged to stop in and visit for a bit. What's happening in your world today?

After I get some sleep and some coffee, I'm going to spend a few hours at Barnes and Noble spending a gift card. I need the quiet time, and Fred needs me out of the way for a bit. We've worked out a solution that benefits us both!

Enjoy your day! I'll check in later.

Oooooooooo, I'm jealous, Don! It's been awhile since I've gone to B & N to just sit and enjoy a book. I read at home, but it's not the same! Enjoy your time (and Fred, enjoy your time as well!!)!

I'm just ready to get to bed, will see you all in the morning. I've been to the grocery store twice today, have shuttled kids home from school and to and from Fall Concert, and gone searching for poster paper at 9pm. I'm DONE!!

    Have a good whatever! --- D

Oh I know... it's one of my favorite things to do. Sit in those big, plushy chairs with a good book, and the smell of lattes wafting into the area... I've met some very nice people there!

man, I am soooooooooooo sleepy :stone

Before I turn in for the night - here's your song for the day!
Maybe it'll energize me in the morning

Today is me second last day of first week of clinical orientation. Tomorrow I'm only going in for half the day - then I'm heading over to the BoN office to settle my license issue! :angryfire

    have a great day y'all

Good luck with the licensing issue... you've certainly been jerked around with that mess.

G'day everyone. It's thursday afternoon here in Oz. Been grocery shopping today. It cost a small fortune! Still, the pantry and fridge is full full full now! And, we won't need to re-stock some supplies for awhile.

Today is a sad day for us. A day for remembering. It's the 4th anniversary of the Bali bombing in which the daughter of friend's was murdered while holidaying there. Angela was only 19 years old. She, along with many other Australians and people from other countries, were the victims of terrorists whose hatred resulted in that horrendous murder of innocent people.
Please say a prayer for those poor souls and their loved ones who continue to grieve and suffer.

    Stay safe and well everyone.
    Cheers...........

Sorry Grace to hear about that loss. I hate anniversaries like that.

Weather is disgusting. Slightly below freezing and about 3 inches of fluffy white stuff and still blowing. Had to borrow SO's Winter jacket and wear mits and my wool hat ( with the scull and crossbones) to get gas before work. Got the gas cheaper than I have for a long time but rumers are that the price is going up again.

I'm on my coffee break now. One of my poor little old ladies is on her way out, feeling so much better since I gave her some Morph. Didn't bother to put in a line because I thought she was going to die imminently, but she seems to be hanging on instead............

Morning all, great blast from the past Roy!! I can't believe you're having so much trouble with your license - Vermont managed to get mine sorted even though I'm in the UK!!

Here in the UK today there's an unveiling of a monument to the 200+ UK victims of that terrible bombing, a carved dove for each victim. Prayers to you in Oz Grace.

Hope your patient goes peacefully Adrienurse.

I'm off to a long overdue visit to the hairdresser this morning! I've booked my fingerprinting at New Scotland Yard - 60 & can't get an appointment until 21st October:angryfire , every week is another weeks delay as far as I'm concerned!

To all who will follow & all who have already posted I hope your day is a good one. I'll check back on your gossip later xxxx

Roy, I love the Bee Gees! Brings back memories of me being in college fresh out of high school long before you were born. Funny that in ACLS, the instructor played that song yesterday and said "this is how fast you should be doing chest compressions......press hard and press fast....to the beat". Sounds like you're burning the candle at both ends. Bet you'll be glad to finally go on night shift. Good luck with the BON.

Don, sometimes I think it's a good thing for my "marriage" that John works out of town, this way we get our space.

Grace, I remember when you were going through that tragedy. Has it really been 4 years?????

Adrein, there's a Canadian "cold front" coming our way. But it's still going to be in the 80's (F) here.

It's a workday for me. Promises to be busy, as the census is unusually high for some reason throughout the house.

    Mornin' y'all!

Sorry I can't read all the posts this AM.

I'm heading out the door for my hospital orientation.

OK....It's very weird to be so excited about 'going' to be a nurse and just starting out, when there are so many negative attitudes about the nursing field from nurses.

I know people get burned out, etc....so I'm not going to let that bother me.

I hope everyone finds a peaceful place in life.

    Y'all have a great day!
