Good Morning!!! Saturday Nov. 24th

  1. [MOUSE]GOOD MORNING EVERYBODY!!![/MOUSE]

I hope everyone is having a lovely Saturday morn. It's about 16 degrees (F) here and boy is it cold. The wind isn't too strong so I can't really complain too much. (doesn't mean I wont though :P). My black friday was ueberly uneventful. I slept. I don't know what it was but once I got under those warm covers this morning, I was out like a light and my mom woke me up around 9:30 asking me if I was okay.

I'm sitting at mah desk, pushing those pencils. No exitement so far *knocks on three different types of woods three times each* and just had my coffee with my onion bagel with jalapeno cream cheese... yummy.

Welp.. hope everone has a nice day and hope to hear from y'all soon.

    It is Saturday here in CA . .. . 12:11 a.m. :spin:

Just watched two HouseHunters on HGTV. Now off to bed.

I really have to buckle down with the stats tomorrow . . this stuff is hard and I'm only on question 6 of 13.

    (Do I really want a BSN?):trout:

    Morning Steph and Alois!

Another cold morning around here. Not that I have to be up, as I'm not working today until noon (til 6). Tomorrow nothing at all except church, and maybe visit my dad. Kinda nice not to have to see Sunday as a studying and preparation day for classes.

Sounds yukky. But doesn't beat my GF's cinnamon raisin bagel w/ vegetable cream cheese!! (how does one even THINK of combining those two!!)

I wish that were the case. Tests on two consecutive mondays and then a tuesday. But on the bright side, it's over after this. Oncology and Hematology. Should be relatively easy being that I work on an oncology floor!

Good morning all. I survived my double yesterday, 16hrs, boy I was tired when I got home. Why does everything happen at the end of the shift? 10:50pm security calls because I need to go to central to get masks, an admission is coming (one had already come) and there was a transfer. Why oh why?

To you all from the Midget with the broken didget. LOL

I hope you all have a wonderfully relaxed day today.

Alois those bears are adorable LOL

Not much on the agenda here for Sabby. I think Hubster wants to return a few cables to Radio Shack but other than that I plan to relax and keep my foot up (and YES out of my mouth)

I have continued working on my journals for the family just printed off the photos I want to add to them. Finalize the draft and get writing.

Darn it is cold here today. I have wrapped my mohair rug around me while sitting at the office desk. I could put the central heat on up here but we mainly live downstairs. Besides this rug is toastie warm.

So come on share what you are all up too today.

Those that went shopping did you do good and get some nice bargains? Oh can you give me just a little hint at what you bought me? Like is it animal, vegetable or mineral LOL:spin:

Hey Zoe how did the hair come out? You made me chuckle when you had the stuff ON your hair THEN read the directions. Good move hahahahahahaha Ya dill.

Have a suuuperrrrrrrrrrr Saturday one and all.

    Good morning everyone,

Another lovely sunny, snowy morning here in the great white north! Like Alois it is very very cold here, but thankfully no wind, so will bundle up the kids and get poochie out for her walk. Our christmas parade is tonight as well , always fun to stand out in the freezing cold and wait for santa to come, but the kids love it so off I will go and pretend to love it as much as they do, as my hands and feet turn blue. Sabby that massage looked really really good, even if it was only by an obviously talented squirrel! Have a great day everybody, and if anyone needs experience shovelling (snow I mean of course) please message me, haha and will gladly pay travel expenses!!

Zoe, nope, never worked retail before, although I do seem to be adapting.

Conrad, glad to hear things will be over soon.

Things don't seem to be over for me yet, at least not in terms of troubles. Yesterday the "check engine" light came on; probably minor and I'm thinking of ditching the care anyway.

Now one of my cats is sick again; apparently the antibiotics only temporarily cured her diarrhea. Or it may have been ineffective because I had such a hard time giving her pills. Anyway, I have to call the vet again.

Surprisingly, I'm not that upset. A few weeks ago I'd have been furious and near-hysterical about this concatenation of events. I definitely not happy now, but I'm fairly calm. I don't know whether it's having gone through NS successfully, having apparently managed Black Friday successfully, or regularly praying the rosary. But I'm somehow keeping my perspective on all this.

Hiya ppls. Welcome to the 24th. We have a new Prime Minister, and thank God all the hoo ha is over...no more ads, no more insults thrown at each other on the television etc etc.

Dh and I live a km down the road from the polling booth. To me that was not far away. But for dh...he has really bad arthritis, and he could hardly walk by the time he got back. Oh for a car...

Tonight we're sitting here watching Terminator 3 on tv. Its an irony isn't it? Watching another politician?

Nothing planned for tomorrow. Days off - yay!!! Get away from the nastiness and politics of work. But I've got to face the garden, or should I say the jungle? BTW this little cat looks exactly like my little girl Indah.

    Morning Folks!

Here's your song for the day...

Here's song#1 with "follow along" Karaoke style lyrics:

And now, crank the volume up for this one!!!!

The songs presented were from a lovely band called "Supertramp"

Well, my Black Friday morning I was working. But my "Black Friday" evening was oh so awesome! I got to watch my beloved Sabres kick Canadiens butt! :hatparty:

We meet again today (Sabres play Canadiens in Montreal).... and I'm pretty confident we'll lick 'em again!

    Hi Steph,

So sorry you're having trouble with Stats/Math. I admit that Statistics was not my favorite part of math (and it vexed my family too. ALL members of my family at my parents generation or above are exceptional at math... to give some examples, my maternal grandmother routinely multiplied/divided seven, seven-digit numbers in her head and had an answer under 3 seconds... while my grandpa used to pass his spare time on retirement by beating most contemporary computer chess games with regular success. The elders in my family don't seem to require calculators - they solve equations faster in their minds!)

Me? I'm more a trigonometry and calculus guy. Algebra was good too. But boy! Conics, Vectors and Statistics made me struggle too.

    Hope you find good solutions...

LOL! I'm looking at vacation in another 4 days - I totally understand that sentiment!

You're lucky to have friends and family nearby - I gotta fly around the world to see mine!

Hang in there Conrad! Tell you what? Many folks used to ask me what nursing school was like. My response to them?
"If you gave me the choice between nursing school and boot camp? I'd do boot camp any day!"

    And I'm not kidding!

LOL! Conrad - I've often wondered about this too. To give a tiny idea - every morning, right at shift change when everybody is doing "shift report" except for the night shift staff - all patients seem to wake up and it seems everybody wants to go potty/pee, everybody seems to want something for pain, everybody seems to have run out of IV fluids/PCA cartidges..... all at the same blessed time!

I think your hubby and I have similar plans for today - I want to borrow the DVD-recorder from my aunt and record all the Sabres games I've saved on my DVR so that I can take 'em along on my vacation!

I SO wish it would stay around 50 degrees (farenheit) or so in my hospital! Everybody seems to want to crank the heat up and I'm left sweating like a pig all night long

Bah! You underestimate the awesomeness of garlic

Hope y'all have a GREAT Saturday. I'm off tonight but I'll be VERY busy packing - I'm supposed to be working Sunday noc, Monday noc AND Tuesday noc - even though I'm supposed to be flying out Wednesday afternoon! I'm trying (desperately) to get Tuesday noc off... but it seems like a long shot as of now. So I'll be trying to get prepared this weekend!

    Anyways - I'll see y'all soon
