Hiya Siri and Marilyn! Happy Saturday to you and those who follow. Surprised you're up this late, Siri.

Just got home from work a little while ago and as usual, I have to sit and unwind a bit before I even attempt sleep. So I'll just browse the boards, watch some mindless TV and hope the sandman comes soon.

Well, it's the start of another nite.
We have 1 empty bed & if there's an admit, it will be mine.
So far, my pt's are OK. I do have a Radiation pt., tho.

I'm surprised to see you guys still awake---or at least you were awake. Hope you're all sleeping now.

I'll be off the weekend. No special plans.

Hope you all have a great weekend!! Hope those of you working have an easy time.

    Good morning!

Hope all the noc shifts go smoothly.

I got off late today, had a late case STEMI in the ER, we cathed him and sent him for a PCI.

We just got in (it's just after 10pm here) from a practice with the LLBN music group (6:30-9:30, then had to pick up the ds's from our church).
We play tomorrow for Sabbath School at The Big Church: song service, a special music and during offertory.
Getting there at 7am for a sound check, then we begin at 9:50am.
We all decided we'd just enjoy ourselves.

Will rest up in the afternoon.

Good to see each and everyone who posts.

    Greetings from the southern hemisphere!
It's 4.40pm here and I've spent a very busy and productive day house painting! Have been doing the hallway walls, and the EIGHT doors and door frames which lead off the hallway! Also the skirting boards along the bottom of the walls.
I'm all worn out now! Still, you feel a sense of accomplishment and afterall, this is what you DO in retirement, isn't it???!!!!

We have a table booked at a nice Thai restaurant down by the beach for 7pm. Dinner tonight will be a taste sensation!!! Really looking forward to this treat tonight. After such a busy day, it'll be wonderful just sitting back and being waited on and savouring the delicious food. Might just have to wash it down with a glass, or two, of good wine.

Must dash off and make the body beautiful under a refreshing warm shower and throw on something other than these "trakky daks!"* for going out in.

    * track pants.

Enjoy your saturday everyone, and stay safe and well! :icon_hug:

Wow, my first thought when I say sirI had started our thread was the same as everyone's . . ."What is sirI doing up so late?".

Well, it was a good night - after starting out with a code (18 y.o.) and toddler burn victim. . . .but enough of that.

Potluck tonight . . . . suggested by one of the docs (who I've known and worked with up here, plus she circ'd my youngest). Homemade chili, taquitos, bean dip (served in a bedpan with smears of beans on the side), tapioca with a speculum placed "just so", jello in the shape of a brain with gummi fingers and worms, deviled egg eyeballs . . .everything was great.

Grace, I wish I was more like you . . painting pro and all. Hope your meal was great.

    Morning, All:
Been away for a while, working and pursuing other interests on the internet. Hope everyone is well, and enjoying this cooler weather. I know I am, for the A/C in my car conked out a month ago as I was en route to a patient's home. Now, if we would just get some rain. The drought here has become critical, with many of our area lakes drying up. I drove over one the other day, which had been close to bankfull three months ago. I did a double take, as it is now almost completely dried up. It's scary, to say the least.

My BIL's 87-year-old mother, who had been sick and in and out of hospitals for the past six months finally died on September 28th, four days after she had been admitted to Hospice. The Sunday before she passed away, she told him over the phone: "I'm going home on Friday and plant my flowers".

    She did just that.

    Have a great weekend!
