Good Morning Saturday November 25!!

  1. Good morning folks!

Here's your song for the day!

    It's been a while, yes?
My computer died and I had to buy a new one. It's a rather pricey (but top of the line) model.

Been working my tail off on orientation. I shift to general surgical from ortho-surgical starting next week ... wonder how I'll do! :uhoh21:

So far so good - I'm just a tad tired.
    Not to mention confused

Hope all you premium members stop by!

I have no sound on my work computer. I am roughing it, at this moment, lol. I shall check in the AM when I get home and have sound.

What computer did you get Roy? Did you get a gaming computer?

Good morning to all this fine Saturday, the 25th. Ah! One month til Christmas!

More a video/photo editing computer than a gaming one (but they share a lot of similarities with gaming machines).

I sure know that I might not have enough time for games with my new job

    Gosh! I missed this place!

Hi Roy! We missed you too! Enjoy the new computer! I splurged on my computer too. May as well get something good, that will last and do the things you want it to do.

    Good morning Nightngale!

It's a working weekend for me, but I've been off for 7 days, so I won't complain. It's just hard getting up that first day.

    Mornin' y'all!

We're actually having our Thanksgiving today. Turkey will go on about 7:30 or so. DH has to work today to cover his employees that can't come in today. He will be home by 1 PM it's ok.

Yes, I'm going to get some study time in now.

    Y'all have a good one!

Hi and thanks for the song, Roy.

I'm up because of the cat who decided to poke me awake with his paws.[EVIL]Rufus[/EVIL] It's my day off!

For those of you with leftover turkey:

    Turkey Cranberry Wreath

2 pkg (235 g each) refrigerated crescent rolls 2 pkg

    8 oz cooked turkey, coarsely chopped (2 cups/500 mL) 250 g

1/2 cup celery, sliced 125 mL

1/2 cup dried cranberries 125 mL

    1/2 cup mayonnaise 125 mL

2 tbsp honey Dijon mustard 30 mL

1/2 tsp coarsely ground black pepper 2 mL

    4 oz Swiss cheese, grated (1 cup/250 mL) 125 g

3 tbsp fresh parsley, snipped 45 mL

1/4 cup walnuts or pecans, chopped (optional) 50 mL

    1 egg 1

    1. Preheat oven to 375F/190C. Unroll crescent dough; separate into 16 triangles. With wide ends of triangles toward the centre, arrange 8 triangles in a circle on Large Round Stone. Corners of wide ends will touch and points will extend 1 inch/2.5 cm beyond edge of baking stone. Arrange remaining 8 triangles in centre, matching wide ends. Seal seams. (Points will overlap in centre; do not seal.)

    2. Chop turkey. Slice celery. Place turkey, celery and cranberries into Bowl; add mayonnaise, mustard and black pepper. Grate cheese and snip parsley into bowl. Mix filling . Using Medium Scoop, scoop filling evenly over dough in a continuous circle.

    3. If desired, coarsely chop walnuts; sprinkle over filling. Beginning in centre, lift one dough triangle across mixture. Continue alternating with outer triangles, slightly overlapping to form wreath. (Filling will show.) Tuck last end under first.

    4. Separate egg over Small Batter Bowl using Egg Separator. Beat egg white lightly; brush over dough using Pastry Brush. Bake 25-30 minutes or until golden brown. Cut and serve .

Cook's Tip: Cooked chicken can be substituted for turkey, if desired.

I spent the evening on the basement with Marc. He's doing the wiring work on his train layout (who knew how much wiring those itty bitty train setups take. Trying to learn more about his hobby because I don't know Jack about it. I want to try to help him build the background when the time comes. That's complicated too, because it has to be in perfect scale for when the club links their sets all together at shows.

A cool 30 degrees and BIG ol' frost out there this morning.

Hey there Roy !!! Good to see you back here ! You were missed, my friend.:icon_hug: Enjoy the new puter... did ya get a MAC ???

Greetings, Adrien.. trains.. cool. Kitties.. sweet. Even when they are a PITA. Heh.

Fun.. enjoy your turkey day !

jmgrn.. have a good day off... I'm sure you'll find SOME kinda mischief to get into.

Tweety.. back to work, eh? Oh well.. all play and no work makes Jack a sorry jerk.

Compassion.. hope your day goes well for you.

Still slurping my first cuppa. Lazy this morning. Not much happening here today.. get my bills done and then drag down to the basement and bring up our little tree. Get it set up and decorated, wreaths on the door, a few favorite Christmas nic-nacs and that's it. Keeping it simple this year.

    OK.. catch you all later!

    Morning all!

We celebrated our Thanksgiving yesterday....came home from work and started Got a call around 2pm...we had a call-in, can you work 7p-7a tonight?? NOPE...haven't even been to bed yet...geesh .

Leftovers....yummy!! Popular sandwich here in Maine is: turkey, stuffing and cranberry sauce on brown bread....try it!!

It's a balmy 28 degrees right now....almost time to drag the long-underoos out..... (sigh)....and wear them for the NEXT 6 months....winter is sooooo long here.

    Enjoy the weekend all!!!

We're not a whole lot warmer here, rninme.
Although it has crept up to 36 since I first posted. And think it's actually suppose to get quite warm today. Won't last, though.. cold front coming through again next week.

Hope you enjoyed your feast yesterday. I feel a turkey sammich coming on later. Still too early, only on my second cuppa here.

Guess I need to buckle down and work on these bills. Blech.
