Mornin' everyone..........and to all who come later: HAVE A BLESSED DAY!
It's not even 0800 hour, and I've been awake for at least an hour. The kids are rising from their slumbers for breakfast, and the two year old is gazing at some show called "Doodlebops". :uhoh21: Doodle who????
My dd says she loves the show, so.....doodle onward.
My 11 year old grandson is still hospitalized. He is improving. The docs found an impression near his esophagus, did a barium swallow, and discovered he has a right aortic arch touching his esophagus everso lightly. As he grows, he will be watched for any breathing difficulties, but for now they are going to just continue monitoring the area. It's one of those anamolies that was never caught until now. Normally is asymptomatic as long as no breathing difficculties begin from the arch rubbing up against the esophagus. Think I'll post this on the cardio forum later today and ask those good nurses if they've ever come across anything like this in their practice because apparently it is everso rare. I've worked cardio before, and never once heard of anything like this. My grandson is an asthmatic anyway, which is what landed him in the hospital in the first place. Poor baby.
The other three kids are handling their winter bug much better today...still have snotty noses and coughing on occasion. The six year old is to be checked on Monday to make sure her pneumonia is clearing up. She was dx with "center lobe pneumonia" two days ago, but looks like the picture of health to me. Haven't heard her cough yet, no gunky nose, bright eyed and gorgeous as usual, hyper from the drugs they put her on, etc. Hmmmm....:uhoh21: I'll listen to her lungs with my steth in a little bit per dd's request. I'm still hacking up junk myself and blowing the trumpet, so we're very thankful for all prayers spoken on our behalf.
Dutchgirl...enjoy your six weeks off! Wow! What on earth will you do with yourself all?
Roy Fokker.....PLEASE stay safe, and whatever you and your friend do...do NOT drive drunk or crazy.
Well...hate to end my session with ya'll right now, but dd is getting ready to leave for the hospital soon, and I need to jump in the shower before she goes. Once she leaves, my focus will be on the three mighty mights who are busy, busy, busy....need to have my skates on, eyeglasses handy, both eyes focused on their journeys throughout the house to keep them out of things they shouldn't be into and so forth. You who have toddlers know full well what I'm dealing with here. They are not too sick to be busy little beavers, that's for sure.
Siri dahlin'..........Thank you for posting my prayer request the other day.
It is the 6 yr. old with pneumonia, not the 11 yr old though. He was admitted for a severe asthmatic episode. The impression showed up on his xray, then a barium swallow was ordered. That's when the anamoly of the right aortic arch was discovered. When it rains it pours doesn't it.
