Good Morning 1/8/05

  1. Good morning! Premium members stop by and sit for a spell (as we say in the south) and tell us what's going on!

Not much going on with me. I had a pig out day yesterday, had brownies and Olive Garden food. John and I ordered two different entrees and each ate half. Plus lots of bread sticks and salad. I'll be good the rest of the week.

Jnette, John went into Navy nursing fresh from college at age 21, he got his BSN, and stayed in for six years. A friend he went in with is about to retire this next year. He's on a ship outside of Africa and in charge of the OR, a big officer, making big buck. Odd to think he'd be retiring soon if he'd stayed in.

Steph, John thinks I'm a nut for posting so much here. But he's always asking "what are they talking about today on the nurse's board".

I'm going to study a bit and go to Walmart grocery shopping! I tried to sleep some, but slept one hour. Guess I'll just stay up all night and sleep all day, as I'm working this weekend.

    Hi Tweety and Z's -

I too pigged out . . .pizza and beer. And then came home and watched Shrek 2 and 13 Going On 30. Both good.

Our satellite is out due to the snow. Supposed to be a bigger storm heading our way. There was another 6 inches after I took that photo of my son. We all walked across the street to the pizza parlor and I fell right on my tush as my feet slid out from under me. Fortunately the snow made a nice cushion.

The fire is dying down . .I can feel the chill coming from the windows. Brrrr. Tweety - you are probably gonna go shopping in shorts too. :hatparty:

Z, I change my quotes frequently. I'm not native American and don't know much about it's spirituality. Thunderwolf does and you might be confusing me with him.

However, my great-grandmother was Cherokee. There's family stories about my great-grandfather being the black sheep of the family, because back then mixed marriages were a big no-no.

Steph, I'm glad that you had some cushion for that fall.
I remember in North Carolina, the eastern part where snow is an oddity how we wouldn't dream of going anywhere when it snowed, and nothing would be open anyway. So I think it's interesting how people go about their business regardless of the weather.

I didn't think you were but thought I would ask anyways.

Good morning to you! What am I doing up at this time? Totally bored. Just got back from a party at a local bar. Apparently the dress code was "half naked" so I left.

    Have a great day!

    Hi there Tweety, Z, steph.

I just love the salad and breadsticks at Olive Garden mmmmmmmmmm!

Well my Christmas break is just about over. I leave tomorrow to go back to TX. Been enjoying the last month here with the family and I've had a great time. I'm just all depressed tonight thinking about having to leave, seems like I always get like this when I have to go back to school. Once I get back there I'm always fine, but this part of having to leave just sucks

Hope yall have a great night.

hello guys,"morning" and hope you have a wonderful one.

been busy sorting my credentials and other stuffs since i'm planning to apply for work at the tertiary hospital here this coming monday. (while waiting for my visa and still no news/letters from my agent, i'll write her a "hey, remember me? i'm waiting with your updates about my papers" )
anyway, i was given tips/infos by my friend who's working there, such a nice and sweet lady. i'm also considering applying for a part time job as an instructor in one of caregiver school near our place to save time and not to expose myself to traffic. i know i can do it! ( i keep telling myself that i can do it!)
    i'll try to check later.

    Goodmorning fellow "Premies"

I have been scarce on the board for some time - good to see some of the old and the new : )

Off to work - 16 today. Then a 7-3 tommorow. Stayed up too late with my husband eating a HUGE chocolate bar and watching I-Robot. It was waaaaaaaaay better than I thought it would be.

Time to wipe the dreams from my eyes and go and make the donuts. Here's to a good day-6:1 or less - hoping for the front assignment. Knock on wood.

    Have a wonderful day all.

Hi and Good Morning To All!

You guys are all pretty early today!
I wrote an entire note with a LONG rant about the staffing here:angryfire & then accidentally deleted it!! :angryfire :angryfire Well, now you don't have to listen because once I had vented I felt better & don't need to do so again!!
Well, at least you all were spared that. I'm at work--last nite, with weekend off!! YES!!
Not much planned for the week except taking down the decos.:Santa5: Maybe read a little.

Tweety--pig-out sounds good to me--of course anything sounds good to me with those new life-style changes(diet) of mine!!

Leslie--So glad your back--saw yesterdays posts--did ask about you & was told you had computer problems. So sorry about the other problems, I feel bad that you have that on top of everything else you have been thru. I know what you mean, tho--I have a brother & sis-in-law very much the same--live with Mom.
My DH also does all the stuff in the house & you are so right--I bet it ends up that you pay about half or less with do-it-yourself; my DH is not a Pro, tho--self-taught & my dad also taught him, lots. He gutted my kitchen & redid it wonderfully & built a deck among other things.

Steph, We got hit with a LOT of snow also, now I hear that we're supposed to get what you are waiting for!!

    Z--Get some GREAT ZZZZZZZZZZZZZ................

PresC--so good to see you! Busy,Busy,Busy!!

Rain--Sorry that you're sad!! But it will be good to back to school, You're right, leaving sucks!!

Julie--Good Luck with the new job!!

Underwater--You too have a great day at work--all 16 hrs.

So all of you, and all of you who come later--Have a GREAT DAY!!
    See you later!! :roll
