Good Monday Morning 5/10/04

  1. Good morning everyone! How are you all doing today? I'm a little late because the whole family slept in until 7 am if you can believe it! In fact, Bryce is still sleeping in our bed all by himself. Bryan is getting ready to go to work and the other two are playing dinosaurs. It's already 58 degrees outside so I guess we'll make our way out there at some point, unless it storms as I think it is supposed to. I had all these great intentions of getting up at 5:30 and going for a walk before Bryan left. Phhhht! I'll try again tomorrow!

I never got back on here yesterday like I wanted to...I was just running crazy, trying to make cards and get things together for the kiddos. I didn't realize how warm it was outside yesterday and we ended up out playing ball all afternoon at my Aunt's house. Bryan got me a couple of cactus' because that's something I most likely can't kill! LOL! So, for the question of the day today: what is your favorite flower, plant, tree, etc?

Thanks to all of you guys that wished us Happy Mother's Day yesterday! It's appreciated!

Liza...do you have kids? I'm thinking no, but do I have you confused with someone else?

Leslie....:kiss Right back at ya chickie!

Dianah...I'm terrible at keeping things alive too, hence the catus' instead of anything else, but I've even killed those before! LOL!

Mickie...how is Dylan doing? I watched the last hour of Survivor and I don't know why because I haven't seen any episodes of the all-stars. I thought it was nice, though, that Rob and Amber got engaged. Now, they both have a million bucks! LOL!

Kate...LOL @ your new cat! Hope he gets the rat!

Okay, guys, I'm late so here it is...I have a lot of catching up to do this morning!

please send me someplace else...someplace where i can sleep through the night, where children don't wake up all night long, where one is not coughing all night, another wanting to breastfeed on empty sore breasts, one needing a bottle or having nightmares, where the kids wake up happy, not exausted...crying to a mom who is exausted and has no more left to give......please send me somewhere....i am toast.

Good morning! The kids just got on the bus, and it's already up to 69 degrees here. Looks like we're headed for another warm, but beautiful, day. There isn't much going on here today for me.. thinking I'll have to go to the grocery store:uhoh21: (and I'd honestly rather have someone poke me in the eye than have to buy groceries).

I did watch all of the Survivor finale, and I also thought it was sweet that Rob proposed to Amber. Gotta admit, though, I think he looked a little better with the facial hair than w/o it! Rob's sorta like my DH -- he has too much of a baby face w/o any hair on it.

Dylan has still been fighting the diarrhea, although it's not as bad as it had been. He was finally able to keep some medicine down, and that helped. I think the stomach cramps were getting to him the most. Last night, though, he seemed to have a low grade fever, and that worried me. But, it disappeared on it's own once he actually got near a fan and cooled off. He was up and ready for school this morning, though. He has a ballgame tonight that I'm still not sure I'm going to let him play in, and his class is going to Playworld later this week as a reward for doing so well on their standardized tests. I feel a little bad for Regan, as she's kinda been pushed to the side a bit since Dylan's been sick all weekend. I guess I'm gong to have to find a way to sneak in a little private time with her soon.

As far as favorite flowers go, I have to say mine is a Stargazer Lilly. The flowers in my wedding were Stargazers and white roses, and I have a silk bouquet in my living room still! Love those flowers!!

mickie- if dylan continues with his bad tummy, i would seriously consider bringing him to the pediatrician just to ensure it's a virus and nothing else..imho.

((((((((((((((Kate))))))))))))))))) Chickie..I understand and send you much love and gentle hugs. Just do what you can and try to relax and rest when the kiddos aren't yelling for you!

Mickie....I was hoping Dylan would be feeling better by now! I'm sure he wants to go to Playworld and play in the game tonight. Make sure he isn't pushing himself too hard to do those things...he might end up feeling worse, poor guy!

A very spectacular good morning to all,

I havent felt like posting till last noc due to the shingles. And now I have to go back to work tonite. Oh well, don't think I'm very infectous. Been taking antiviral and getting lots of rest. Why does "chicken pox" sound so fun and lively and "shingles" sound so dirty......................or is it just me.

Ms Kate........read my post "the cost of children". It wont help how you feel, but might brighten your day somewhat. I also recommend a "Calgon take me away" bath for twenty minutes. My wife does the whole gambit................scented votives, light music (away from the water , bath crystals........and someone to keep the kids at bay for those twenty minutes. Fortunately, for us, our kids are all grown now (the youngest just graduating from HS.

You all have a most wonderful day.

Good to see you Walter! You're right in that I always thought "shingles" sounded so much worse than "chicken pox" LOL I sure hope you feel better and up to fishing soon!

good morning every one. 3 days off the board because i simply haven't had time.

friday i was helping my sister move. she is as hard headed as me and 29 weeks pregnant so i was just muscle to keep her from over doing it.

the baby didn't sleep from 3:30am friday. at 5:30 i passed her off to dad and headed off to the grocery store. ran several more errands & had intended to leave for my sister's by 8 am but all said it was almost 10 before i set off. road construction crews lost control of a concrete barriar that they were setting via crane and it swung out over my van. i was convinced it was going to land on my head

finished at her house and picked up step son by 430 pm. got home started dinner and was trying to catch up with chores since i was going to be gone the weekend. discovered hair balls on my side of the bed on sheets i had changed the day before. dh came home and asked the very sweet question "what can i do to help" and i thought i was going to bite his head off. you know its like "look around and pick something."

made it to bed by midnight and was up at 5:30 for work. worked my two 16 hr shifts this weekend. came home last night to find a new office chair :hatparty: (no more sitting on a step stool) and my desk shelves finished. happy mothers day to me. (dh says they are also my nurse's day present and who was the idiot who scheduled those so close togethor?)

also several very large peices of furniture in my living room. stuff that would not fit when combined with my sister's boyfriends stuff in their new place.

the girls slept until 7:45 this morning and i'm still working on my first cup of coffee.

after several very busy weeks it is just going to be our family at home for dinner this evening and i am so looking foward to it.
