    Morning all,

DH took the day off of work so we actually have a day off togethor, waffles and bacon for breakfast...

Woke up this morning with an old song my mom used to sing going through my head

"Good morning to you, Good morning to you, we're all in our places with bright shiney faces, oh what a good way to start a new day.."

    So how bout it guys

My daughter is w/her father this weekend. I overslept 20 minutes, watched a rescue breathing skills video for a babysitting course while I ate breakfast, got dressed & was at my desk by 8. Work has already provided a few challenges for me to overcome thus far this morning. Some days I feel like I need to be psychic & telepathic to do this job!!!

Last night I didn't work on the closet system. My DH found me sweeping the floor when he got home & took me out to the Chop House for dinner. We then went shopping. Did you know that Marshall's has 400 thread-count sheets (Queen-sized) for 39.99? Even the 600 thread-count ones are only 69.99? We've had success w/ the 350's we bought a few months ago. Last summer, we bought another set from one of our local department stores & they were sized comparatively small...I won't use them them for the sofa bed.

Man I can't wait for the weekend to begin!

Good morning all! We all slept a bit late here this morning as well! The boys won the ballgame last night. Dylan's friend slept over again last night, and they are outside with the pitching machine and having a good time.

DH was supposed to be off for four days starting today, but they sprang it on him yesterday that he had to work today. The overtime will be nice, but I was counting on him being here to keep Dylan out of my hair today so I could get in some study time for the test I'm taking in the morning. But, maybe when Dyl's friend goes home and Jas gets in he can take him somewhere for a bit. Who knows, they might even take in a movie together. I know that Shrek 2 is playing not far from here (and the tickets at this theater are only 5.00 and 2.00 for kids every movie).

Sure does seem quiet w/o Kimmy here this morning! Hope her sale is going well. It rained here last night and there's a chance for more rain for the next few days. I suppose that will put a damper on many yard sales around here too.

Well, I've about made it through my first cup of coffee. Still need to bandage this arm this morning. There were lots of parents who were peeling at the game last night, but I think we all agreed that I got the worst of it!

Ahhh.. another reason for me to go... the boys are coming in hungry. Dyl's asking for "pebbles"! AKA Cocoa Pebbles

    Gotta run.. good day all!

Had to take two flights to get home from Malaysia this morning, but they were able to get me on an earlier flight for the second leg....................Hope you get to see some of the pictures on the other post.

One of my sister's coworkers was here for the day from New York. She is in the military reserves from the US and was here on active duty for two weeks. She is a pediatric nurse practioner. Had loads of fun shopping with her and one of her friends after a lovely Italian dinner.

All of you have a happy and safe holiday.................

Morning all. This was the day when I told work I'd be in around 10:30 because I needed to catch up on sleep. So this is also the morning when they finally get around to demolishing the house on the lot right behind my bedroom window. It's about 20 feet from my windows, and, with the window closed it's surprisingly quiet. On the other hand it's large chunks of a building getting knocked down, so it's still loud enough to sleep through.

Oh well. I'll sleep while 3rdShiftGuy is working.

well isn't this thread quiet today?? i guess it's just not the same w/o kim's vitality and genuine compassion. my thought for the day?? may those that struggle find peace within themselves.

    I Like that message, earle.

When Kim feels ready, we will be waiting with an online hug and smile.

I hope her life settles down. Sometimes, we need a BREAK from internet life to deal with our REAL Ones. Doing that is smart.
