:hatparty: :hatparty: :hatparty: I have never been to such a party(crazy hat). My hubby, kids and I will be going. Have any of u ever been to one of these? Any idea's or websites would be most helpful. I'm pretty outspoken sooooooo I wouldn't be embarresed at anything. I have to keep it a PG-13 rating for all the kids. But if u have an idea that goes over their heads(no pun intended ) Then I would love to hear it. I'm not a hat wearer, so I'm totally clueless. Please help and thanx in advance. Remember it is a:hatparty: :hatparty: new yrs. eve party so I'm kinda rushed. Happy New YEARS everyone.:hatparty: :hatparty: :hatparty: :hatparty: :hatparty:
great reaction over wearing a "collendar" hat one time.
decorate in following ways.
1. wear upside down on head. if the old type with feet, can build up feet with aluminum foil as "martian antenna". decorate with things hanging down like flashlight, batteries, funny glassess with bobbing eyes.
2. wear upright. fill with fake fruit, pasta earings etc.
3. decorate with nursing theme: hot water bottle, thermometer, bandaids, secure with ace wrap chin strap.
large funnel as "hat".
have seen straw hats decorated with all kinds of things. any specific hobbies like fishing, playing cards, baseball cards, craft items can adorn hats.
young kids can decorate baseball caps with jewlery pins, cards, fake jewels, sequins, feathers and glitter pens etc. sailor hat with plastic ships, army men, firemen, legos attached.
Thanx Karen. I am sooooo motivated now. The websites were cool. I'm going to take coleslaw and baked beans and put them in hats from the party store. I still need to fins something crazy for my hubby and 10 yr. old son. My 5 yr. old daugter has a jester hat that is adorable. Any ideas on hat type foods I can take. It's a pool party. I'm in FL. and it's gonna be warm during the afternoon.Maybe I could make finger sandwiches and cut them with a hat cookie cutter. My creative juices are flowing now.:hatparty:

That is a crazy hat Karen. My brother is a golfer but I don't think he would get near that hat.
